How to Bypass the Switch in a Black & Decker CMM 1200 Electric Lawnmower

In this video, I’ll show you how to bypass the switch in the Black & Decker CMM 1200 electric lawnmower. Since Black & Decker no longer sells replacement switches for this model, you’re left with few options if yours fails. My switch melted, so I replaced it with a 20-25A rocker switch for DC power, which has worked even better than the original. Now, I can mow both the front and backyard on one charge due to the improved connection.
Please note, this modification will override the safety orange handle on the lawnmower, meaning it will be controlled solely by the manual switch-either on or off. You will still need to insert the safety key, but this will be the only safety feature remaining.
