Thank you so much for this. I just did box braid plaits in my nephew hair and my sister was telling me if I could do that, she knows for a fact I can do knotless braids. 2 stylists cancelled on me after I bought the hair and all so I'm most definitely going to try this sometime this week.
Did you get the knotless braids done for your niece ?? I was asking cuz I know how to do plaits but I don’t know how to added braiding hair so it’s the same like plaits your real hair .

Why is it that every time I try to do knotless braids on myself it comes out looking like a chicken tried to braid it but everybody else seems to do it with ease 😂🤣😂
Are you using enough hair per braid? Are you remaining in the same position while plaiting or twisting/turning ? Also don’t mix under/overhand techniques if you can avoid doing so once you pass the base of the braid. Hope this helps!

You know what? I think I am mixing over and under hand braids while I'm braiding....Hhmm, Thanks for pointing that out.
Lmao it gets easier with time! The biggest things is making it look as if you have the same amount of hair and remaining in the same spot as you braid(not turning different sides, or flipping the braid and braiding at angles)

Yes, I dipped all the hair before and blow dried it. After I only dipped the ends.

Does the freeze spray help prevent slippage?? Why do you use it?
I used the freeze spray instead of using mousse for hold. Mousse has water in it and I wanted my hair to stay straight .

I just braided it, I didn’t have to add hair for the length.
For extra length you just stretch the hair
Ik this old but now they sell braiding hair in lengths all the way to 90inches so you don’t have to add in

It took me 3 days, because I took breaks.
Does dipping the hair before braiding make it easier to manage?
No don’t do that it will just melt the hair together making it harder

It only melts if the hair is not good. I did it to help the hair lay flatter and it is easier to work with while braiding.

However, I hadn't planned on straightening my hair before braiding, so am wondering if that will make a difference with pre-dipped hair.
