Abstract is a twisted representation of reality and not true imagery... unlike this painting. The only thing abstract about it is that there are no leaves and branches in the reflection. And it's difficult to tell where the horizon line is. If it's the lower line then the trees are on an island or there's a bed of fog in the valley. If it's the higher line...well then it's truly abstract because it makes no sense. And I've never seen a sky that color so that is abstract in and of itself.

I used to draw a lot when I was a kid till high school. Bc of some reasons I stopped drawing during uni. I really want to draw again, but adulthood take a lot of my time. So many things I wanna do but I only have a little time 😟

I know this is a joke but if you ever struggle: The idea is not that this exact picture is easy for beginners. The technique is easy for beginners. Draw something you like in dark pen, put dots of the colors you want around it and then gently brush thinned white paint over it, using mostly left and right strokes. It causes this pretty gradient you CAN use for your very own sunset but it could also be a deep sea with blues and greens or literally anything you feel like. That's what is good about abstract art..if you can feel it or like it then put it on a canvas and be pleased. This video just shows one of the many ways you can use this way of painting. Don't see it as exactly the thing you have to achieve in the end.

It just looks so easy. I never tried my hand at painting. None of us had. But one day my supervisor invited me and a few more co-workers to paint with her after work. She teaches classes. I thought, i'm gonna fail miserably. But after we got started under her direction, it was so much fun. And after we finished, we looked at our work and all the other's. We were amazed, and so proud. Painting is so calming and peaceful. You learn about your individuality. All the paintings were of the same subject, but all quite unique and so beautiful. What a joy you brought to us. You're channel is one of the best examples of these famous lines. You show us what work ethic means, uploading on a daily basis. Not getting distracted by the forest but painting the forest day and day out. It's perhaps the most valuable thing people can learn from your channel, the consistency and work ethic with which you paint.
Love watching these and how relaxing they are, but also how you produce such a beautiful piece of work from essentially blobs of randomly coloured paint!
I enjoy watching what you do with color. I appreciate your use of bold colors and how you blend them. At the end of the day, I relax by watching you paint and listening to the delightful music. Thank you for sharing! I will be watching you for a long time.
Small advice: For people who don't have this brush 7:20 like me You can use aluminium (crumple and shape him like ball) it even give a better effect 😉😉😉😉

These videos are too dangerous to watch for us art people... At one moment I think I'm going to watch an 11 minute abstract painting demo. Next thing you know, 2 hours later I'm watching a guy explaining how to talk with Elephants and turn them into pets.
Okay, but do you realize that artists hate it when people say that? Your only gonna fail when you say you will, and don’t be afraid to mess up. I’ve seen so many beginner artists put off their work as “abstract” so people will think it’s good and not critique it. Learn from your mistakes and try again. Heck, I’ve been doing art for years and only a few months ago I picked up watercolor and I’m not bad at it (or I just understand the basics) so it’s okay to try something new. Run down to a craft store, grab your supplies and fucking create for god’s sake. It’s messy, hard, and time consuming but if you can hold a paintbrush, you can do it. So stop telling yourself you can’t.

It is for beginners, just not for the kind of "begginers" who drop interests for new ones or simply lose motivation for it faster than bob ross could paint mountains.
How much more "beginner" do you even want? Subjects like trees are basically the THE beginner subject because organic subjects don't have to be symmetrical or require a lot of drawing skill and are actually better if they are "imperfect." There's practically no brushwork in here besides horizontal and vertical straight lines, and the tree leaves. If you don't have a fan brush for the leaves, you can probably get away with using a bit of sponge dipped in paint instead. It doesn't get simpler than this.
I did attempt to follow the tutorial. It most definitely took more than eleven minutes. Technically it took me three hours. I did manage to get a somewhat similar result! Sorry if this is irrelevant, but my painting will be on my channel. Hope I'm not being annoying.
💙beautiful💙inspirational💙 When you first drew the trees and their was nothing on them, thought you were going for a wintertime scene. Then when you added the colors over the trees blocking out the trees, thought you messed up until you took the brush over the lines again where you painted the lines. Then added the colors, it made things more realistic. When you gave the trees their fullness, it brought the trees out. It was pretty cool when you did the shadow effect of the trees and made it look like a lake reflecting.
It's giving me this melancholic mood ..the colors are like talking to me in a way that I get to be somewhere that is so familiar.A place I have seen before..some where... some time...

It is!! It’s really amazing and my daughters tried it out, not the best their only insert age here and insert younger age!!!!! It’s really incredible what a small 11 minute can do!!!!
It is for beginners, just not for the kind of "begginers" who drop interests for new ones or simply lose motivation for it faster than bob ross could paint mountains.

How much more "beginner" do you even want? Subjects like trees are basically the THE beginner subject because organic subjects don't have to be symmetrical or require a lot of drawing skill and are actually better if they are "imperfect." There's practically no brushwork in here besides horizontal and vertical straight lines, and the tree leaves. If you don't have a fan brush for the leaves, you can probably get away with using a bit of sponge dipped in paint instead.
It doesn't get simpler than this.
I did attempt to follow the tutorial. It most definitely took more than eleven minutes. Technically it took me three hours. I did manage to get a somewhat similar result! Sorry if this is irrelevant, but my painting will be on my channel. Hope I'm not being annoying.

When you first drew the trees and their was nothing on them, thought you were going for a wintertime scene. Then when you added the colors over the trees blocking out the trees, thought you messed up until you took the brush over the lines again where you painted the lines. Then added the colors, it made things more realistic. When you gave the trees their fullness, it brought the trees out. It was pretty cool when you did the shadow effect of the trees and made it look like a lake reflecting.
