this song is golden, by far the best monsterverse opening scene AND opening music.
1:53 agh, I love that park where Ghidorah comes on screen, just goes to show how far we've come
Imagine getting hype JUST BY WATCHING THE INTRO 'goosebumps everywhere ..
Hearing this in the theater was epic!
The word "theater" sounds familiar but I can't remember when I heard that
1:57 the part where you can see every other monster being defeated by godzilla with the music gave me the chill and almost had a scary vibe to it
it was a bit scary to know that godzilla made all these titans fall and the music shows that
So awesome. Made me so fucking hype. It was like a pair of vicious prize fighters being matched against each other.
@@mranonymousdank4815if you look closely you will see it shows mothra, roda and others and yet it says defeated for them even tho godzilla never fought them, so godzilla only defeated 3 titans (MUTOs and Mz)
Like in 2019 you see him tussle a bit, in 2021 you see him beat the living daylight out of kong, but in 2024 the mf offs 2 titans on the silver screen for all to see, one of them to restore balance, and the other because F*ck you. Lmao, this mf was NOT playing.
This whole opening sequence sent chills down my spine, It was a great experience
Absolutely adore the themes in this movie, they fit perfectly. Also the transition into gvk goji's theme at 1:28 gives me chills!
Love how just the intro was capable of showcasing not just the story, but the backstory, and even hinting at the main titans: Godzilla first, Kong second, and Ghidorah third. Hinting who the winner is by order of appearance, theme used. I might be spitballing that last idea, but I absolutely loved to overthink the meaning of this 2 minute intro.
I also like the detail that when ghidorahs card came up it showed defeated... but not how he died, essentially implying he hasn’t died yet. It fits so well with the later reveal of you know what...
@@monke3111 we all know they are going to try to do another movie with Mecha-Ghidorah
This is an iconic scene for Monsterverse now... and future movies. Dang I love this theme!
Omg I just noticed this, at 2:08 that sounds just like the intro for the Godzilla destroy all monsters game made in 2002, I loved that game!
I think we can all agree that this is the best part of the theme 2:07
Right especially in the theater with the seats rumbling. chills every time
This was insane to see in theaters
This opening credit technically shows rest of the monster-verse was just this big build up battle. Especially the portion of the credits that shows this massive tournament like charts with monsters. It’s like saying, “On the blue corner we have King of the Monsters Godzillaaaaa, On the orange corner we have King of Skull Island Konggggg, are we ready to rumbleeeeeeee!!!”
When they meet for Round 2 in Hong Kong, I picture an announcer saying that, "let's get ready to rumble!"
Perfectly sets up the tone of the film. Arguably the best intro the MonsterVerse has.
Godzilla: best opening scene
Godzilla King of the Monsters: best end title sequence scene
Godzilla vs Kong: best opening scene
JESUS CHRIST THIS IS THE BEST INTRO SOUNDTRACK IN ANY MOVIE
The Battle of God and King.
Godzilla Vs. Kong Director Declares a Definitive Winner Between the Two Iconic Monsters: The director of Godzilla vs. Kong knows who really won the epic battle. The recently released Godzilla Vs Kong has been smashing box-office records and topping online engagement stats ever since its first trailer was released. The popularity of the movie hinges entirely upon a single question, that is asked in hushed whispers on school grounds and around campfires the world over: Who would win a fight between King Kong and Godzilla? The catch is that both Kong and Godzilla are the protagonists of the MonsterVerse franchise, so both had to find ways to come out on top in their joint movie. Still, during a Reddit AMA, the director of Godzilla vs. Kong,Adam Wingard, confirmed that there was one definitive winner, and it ain't Kong.
"Godzilla def won. He killed Kong. Kong was revived. I consider the Mecha battle was outside of that. As they say: Godzilla won the fight, Kong won the movie." Ever since the project was announced, fans had been wondering how Kong could possibly hold his own against the giant atomic reptile that has a literal "God" in its name. At the time, the version of Kong that had appeared in the MonsterVerse was also much smaller than Godzilla, although the mighty ape underwent a dramatic increase in size before the epic matchup to give him a fighting chance. Still, Godzilla has atomic breath, near-invulnerable skin, a heavier body, and centuries of experience taking down other superpredators. Meanwhile, Kong has... opposable thumbs. But those thumbs turned out to be of great use, as the mighty ape was able to procure a giant battle ax to aid its fights. In a previous interview, Wingard had explained that Kong was always meant to be the underdog in his fight against the giant Prehistoric Amphibious Reptile (Titanus Gojira). "I always saw Kong in this film as an '80s action hero or an early '90s Shane Black action hero. I'm a big fan of that style of action where the action hero is this guy who's down on his luck. Godzilla is way more powerful than [Kong]. And then on top of that, we've put Kong on the ocean. This is Godzilla's element. So the stakes and the danger level are already high for this character, but then you want to amplify that. And the inspiration for that really comes from Die Hard more than anything. That's why the movie has a Die Hard reference here and there from a visual standpoint."
Fortunately, Kong was able to make a comeback from certain defeat in Godzilla vs. Kong, and reestablish its street cred by facing off against the fearsome Mechagodzilla. Maybe the inevitable sequel might see Kong and Godzilla have a rematch that turns the tables on the giant reptile this time around.
This is exactly how you get people buzzed for the film. Perfectly sets up the mood of the whole film. Just pure action.
i actually dont know how a person with feelings and emotions could not be exited by hearing this
Sam Raimi's Spider-Man: I have the best opening titles!
Godzilla and Kong: Hold our nuclear reactor
The intro for GvK with this song literally got me so hyped
Same dude me and my brother were going crazy when we saw it opening Day
Two legendary forces of nature. Destined to fight, it was foretold their battle would happen. One way or another.
This movie was amazing and this intro is sick ! Thanks for uploading this soundtrack !!!
@@Bigboyanthony MonsterVerse Legendary Pictures Evangelion (Live Action)
This sounds like the opening to a nature documentary, and I like it
"One will fall"
Yeah, one did. but it wasnt Godzilla nor Kong.
To be fair Kong put a good fight up against a mythical Giant lizard with a Radioactive Flashlight who has had who knows how many years of experience,And has fought more formidable M O N K E thank Kong,So I think im proud of monke for being able to earn Godzillas respect
Kong is the David to Godzilla's Goliath. Both monsters are giants, but Kong is the smaller, faster one. Godzilla is bigger, stronger, tougher, and has his atomic breath. Their first fight highlights how the odds are stacked against Kong as Godzilla would have beaten him on the aircraft carrier without the humans intervening. In the rematch in Hong Kong, the numerous buildings let Kong take advantage of his greater agility, on top of having the axe. But Godzilla still proves too powerful and nearly kills him.
I LOVED THIS INTRO!!!! You can feel the hype from the music!
The titlecard looks like something straight out of the old Godzilla movies and I love it.
Thank you so much for uploading this! A shame this track was never officially released, it's hype as heck.
The last part of this intro: 2:09 is the right way to end the intro for a Monster (Kaiju) Fight against 2 Great Titans.
Happy 3rd Anniversary, Godzilla vs. Kong.
a beautiful synergy between Godzilla and Kong's themes. Plus the ending with the godrays text was just too epic.
This soundtrack is really good and well done. It fits the movie perfectly.
This is by far the best intro of any monsterverse flim and probably the best intro of all time and movie is my favourite of any monsterverse flims and now my favourite flim of all time
Pure nostalgia gave me this intro 👍
I dont know why people hate Tom Holkenborg's take on "Godzilla Vs Kong's" musical score , i think it sounds beautiful❤❤ a mix of akira ifukube's original theme and a hint of electronic music mix ❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘
This was the first movie I’d seen in theaters since March 2020 so when I am seeing and hearing this on the big screen for some damn reason this excites me the most I feel like a little kid going to the movies for the first time, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
2:10 one of the best parts of the song that played during the intimidation scene.
When everyone found kong island: why is there giant bugs and lizard we can’t survive we are leaving
Godzilla: that’s ez to kill
me seeing toho take down every roblox kaiju game:
Man if they ain't gonna put out a good godzilla game then they should just let roblox be roblox. To be honest it's not like those roblox games were making any good money.
I want to find this in Spotify but sadly it’s not there I don’t think it’s in Apple Music. Let me know if y’all know if they added it
NGL, but this opening is now my favorite one in the Monsterverse because of the intense music by Tom Holkenborg/Junkie XL and the bracket system that showcases each Titan that is "defeated"
Why is everyone running away?
The quite kid: 0:55
1:20 i love how you see kong fight the skull crawler and then its marked as defeated and the music being like'' kongs the badass around here''
man this song gives me those chills I really mean it and it still does to this day, so good!
I can’t describe how much I loved this opening scene, literally gives me spider man 2 vibes
At some part it sounded like the Lion King soundtrack where Mufasa is on the stampede and Scar is looking at it
I love that Holkenborg made basically a Heisei Godzilla intro even with the crazy credits to hype GODZILLA VS. and I adore it for that fact.
Godzilla King of The Monsters 2019 is the only film in the Monsterverse that didn't open with a montage of Monarch. They saved it for the end credits.
so far no dislikes :D....
this is the best intro EVERRR
1:24 is my favorite part! It sounds so good with this movie I love it.
I'm so confused, in the whole video you can hear people talking about an island and the hollow earth, but hey also talked about an expedition, but was it to the island (skul island duh) or the hollow earth? (just how the brother of that protagonist on the team Kong died), does someone know?
The expedition they talked about was to hollow earth because they mentioned Antarctica
This still gives me goosebumps
You can put this in any movie opening and get chills
I know how late this is, but does this piece of music have a name?
The first part of this opening kinda reminds me of the 2014 opening.
This Intro was honestly epic, got me all hyped up and ready
I was so hyped in the theater just because of this intro music
I love how the theme was reused in when scylla takes on godzilla in GxK
This song reminds me of just 1 thing - the Creation of Mechagodzilla and updated technology in monsterverse.
0:58 Gojira deserves this theme only.
I Was absolutely just speechless hearing it on 25th in the theater
0:56 Goosebumps, every damn time. It’s so good
2:07 insert epic effects going in hollow earth and cue title card. *GODZILLA VS KONG*
Why was the opening the best peice of soundtrack from the entire movie
1964 godzilla vs kong: buncha mascots rolling and tumbling around for 16mins.
2021 godzilla vs king kong: 💥💥💥💥👀💣🦍🐊
The first time I watched GvK was on release, my mom got a HBO max subscription just to watch it. A minute in right before the intro scene/music started playing she looked over to me and said, “Just so you know, this movie had ADULTS crying after they watched this movie..” and as soon as I heard this theme and saw the intro, I knew there was no turning back. (Shout out to my mom, you’re the best!❤❤)
Seeing this in the cinema was insane like my goosebumps were getting goosebumps.
My hair stand up like godzilla whenever i hear this masterpiece
this is GOLD
If you put your volume at 80% it sounds like if you were in a movie theater. *only works with headphones*
Godzilla
I was so hyped up when this theme played in the theater. Best one so far
0:57 is sooo good
Villain songs 😈
What a perfect intro for this movie. Love it! Danny Vargas.
Do Godzilla x Kong The New Empire Intro
0:56 The part in gxk when kong was gonna get godzillas help and this starts playing 🥶
I love the commentary, it must be from Monarch
Finding the origin of these creatures is essential to mankind's survival
The interior of the earth is made up of vast cabins and air pockets, joined by natural avenues
The admiral begins his expedition, searching for an entrance to a hidden world
The purpose Is the discovery and the release to the world of the unknown treasures of Antarctica in the interests of all mankind
Members of the lost party were never seen again. Still no word on what may have happened
There's an ecosystem out there in the likes we can't imagine and the place to find it is this island
This intro is the best than all movies intro xD
New Subs!
Mate this is the workout song of all time
Man, it 2023 and I'm still listening to these legendary themes lol
When I watched that I WAS SO HYPED AND THAT OPENIG CREDIT SCENE IS EPIK
Its basically Godzilla theme and Kong theme was fused together
This song doesn’t need lyrics to tell you that shits about to go down fucking hard
The opening scene felt like an epic moment even though I'm not watching it on a cinema/theater
Someone should do a petition for them to release this as part of the soundtrack
BEST INTRO FOR THE BEST MOVIE 🐵🐲
Idk why but i listen to this before i sleep everyday
