    Thanks for this video, I graduated a few years ago from a college in NY and was looking at cheap online MBAs and found LSUS was looking for videos and this is the best one I found :)

    This video was so helpful, thank you for making it. It's been over 10 years since I last attended school, so content such as this is very valuable for people looking to go back. :)

    Thank you for the detailed breakdown of the LSUS MBA. I have been looking for an AACSB-accredited MBA at an affordable cost. Seems like this one checks of all the boxes. My previous school did 7-week terms and have been looking for another school that offers those.

    Thank you for this video! I’m interested in the LSUS MBA program with a concentration in Accounting. Your video is extremely informative and helpful.

      Currently doing this now. It is one of the most difficult programs I’ve ever done because of time constraints and some professors have no regard to the students’ workload.
      If you have a job, I highly recommend doing only one class per 7 week cycle. I quit working to do full time and taking two classes (6 hours) requires 40+ hours of studying. I have a schedule and start 8am every day and end at 6pm with only Saturday off. The schedule is so tight that if you have a life event or want a holiday (I.e. Easter), you could really damage your grade (I went from a high A to a high B in one week).
      I already have a Master’s (career change for me), have a detailed schedule, have a supportive husband, and this program still takes it out of me. I just withdrew from two classes because some professors use McGraw Hill Connect(😤).
      The program is what it is. It won’t stop me from my goals, but will stress even the most conscientious students.

    Thank you, Kari. I am in the process of completing my document submissions for the application process and you answered a lot of the questions that I had on my mind with your nicely structured content! Looking forward to more of your videos. We may just become classmates soon :)

    Thank you Kari! You answered a lot of my questions. I am worried about taking the required accounting and the finance courses, since I struggled with those in my undergrad. I passed with good grades, but it was with a lot of effort. Is there tutoring available online from the school or do they have recommended tutors for their courses?

    Thank you for the video! I’m starting in March 2025! I was wondering if you continued to take 2 classes at a time for the remainder of the program? Is there any classes you recommend taking by itself?

    My head is spinning because I’m trying to make it make sense that lsus and lsu have the same program but the prices are double at lsu .

    • @jyoz08
      @jyoz08 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's because the degree is coming from different universities. LSUS is technically not a branch campus of LSU. The more expensive program is coming from Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College (LSU), this is the flagship school in the Louisiana State University System. The more affordable program is issued by Louisiana State University Shreveport. They are technically separate universities within the same "system". Kinda like how Texas Tech University is the flagship school in the Texas Tech System. A big plus with LSUS is that it is way more affordable and has the same rigorous AACSB accreditation. Only a select few schools hold this accreditation.

    Did you have to take foundation courses since you had a German undergrad? Are you finding the coursework reasonable coming from a non-business undergraduate degree?

    • @KariFeezor
      @KariFeezor  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi just seeing this comment! I did not take any foundation courses, but I think it might have been helpful. I take Econ and stats as part of my undergrad so I feel like I had a pretty solid grasp of those going in. I haven’t taken finance yet but I will update how I felt without a foundational course once I start. Honestly if you’re willing to put in the work to catch yourself up outside of the work they give I don’t think it would be totally necessary.

      @@KariFeezor great thank you very much. I was admitted to the program for a start this summer. Just weighing out whether it will be worth it without much corporate experience. Are you aware of whether or not LSUS will help MBA students gain internship experience during the program?

  • @TriciaBims

    Do they use canvas / Moodle / bright space? Also are there live zoom sessions each week? Call me weird but I enjoy these and really want to learn and digest the courses! Lol

    • @KariFeezor
      @KariFeezor  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They use moodle! Moodle was recently upgraded in July and it seems to be a lot more similar to canvas than it was. Honestly, as for Zoom sessions, it will depend on the professor. So far I have not had any offered, but I have heard that there are professors who do offer them. However, they provide a ton of resources for you to be able to really go in depth on most of the topics. Hope that helped :)

    • @KariFeezor

      All exams are proctored through proctoring so you will need to have/be on a webcam for that.

    Hey Kari- Do you have any course recommendations for AP2 term that's kicking off soon?

    • @KariFeezor
      @KariFeezor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m taking 711: international economics and 706: marketing strategy. My recommendation would be to look at what classes are required for your concentration/specialization and make sure you’re planning this into your schedule since they’re only offered so often. Otherwise if you’re able to take any class and you’re just starting out my recommendation would be MBA 705: Organizational Strategy and Policies because a lot of other classes build off of those foundations!

    Are the quizzes open book?

    • @KariFeezor
      @KariFeezor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the course. So far I have had some classes that were open book, some that you were allowed to use a piece of paper filled out like a cheat-sheet, and some that are closed book.
