I am trying to get out. After 40 years living in Australia I have not been able to find even 1 Aussie who can hold a civilized conversation. Perhaps the worse part of being there is the reality that the whole country is run by packs of uneducated bureaucrats who everyone is subjugated to on behalf of a distant monarchy, and who turn on each other for whatever they are getting out of it rather than stand up for anything or anyone. It's pretty foul.
I feel your pain mate, I no longer see a chance of owning my own home, starting a family or even building my own business within Australia anymore. After going overseas recently to visit my Family in the Philippines I now see future in a third-second world country, where I can afford to invest all of myself into starting a new life. This country has been influenced and dragged around by foreign and ridiculous rich local investors, who dont give any thought to the working class, using their own money to affect how we live while we live pay-check to pay-check. lifes fucked here right now, Ive been living here for 27 yrs and now Im gonna have to resort to being a foriegn investor to build a better life for myself elsewhere.
If the inflation is being caused by high fuel and energy prices then increasing the interest rate won't stop inflation at all. It will just create economic stagnation + inflation (Stagflation). We leaned this in the 70s. Why are we doing it again?
