- On this episode of 1st Drive, Angelique takes out a 2019 GMC Terrain AWD SLT in Ebony Twilight Metallic with Jet Black interior.
This Terrain is equipped with a few additional packages like Driver Alert Package I, Infotainment Package II, Preferred Package and Trailering Equipment. Plus, it already has a roof rack installed!

I was interested in this truck but this review sold me on it. This was one of the best car reviews I've watched on this site. Too many reviews use car enthusiast language when the majority of the people watching are your everyday average consumers looking for a new vehicle.
I'm watching this because I just picked up this car as a rental at 1 a.m. in complete darkness and need to figure this car out. When your main drive is an '05 it always takes a giant mental leap to catch up with technology! Thank you! I drove it for an hour to get to my AirBnb and it felt amazingly smooth and comfortable.

Have you had any issues?
I traded a 2016 with the V6 for a 2020 Terrain SLT and I love it. I’m in Canada so mine gauges are a bit different. I get about 35 m.p.g. or around 7.6 litres per 100 kms of driving. Very good mileage as far as I ‘m concerned. I find the engine to be very responsive even after having the 301 h.p. 3.6 litre engine in my 2016 Terrain. I really like the new Terrain. Nice review.👍👍

Did GMC make the adaptive cruise control available for the 2019 model? It is a moot point for me as I just picked up the 2018 Terrain SLE 1.6TDI. Has been outstanding for the 3000 kms since buying with 42,000kms. Great review Angelique.

1. Air conditioning cancels out the engine start/stop at red lights.
2. 1.5 L car isn't a fast car. Don't pull out in front of anyone. But you save on gas.
I rented the GMC Terrain and drove me and my wife to Minneapolis. We drove to Prince Paisley Park Museum. We had a great time driving there while listening 🎶 to the greatest hits of Prince. The Terrain is an excellent SUV.
Angelique, I got a 2018 GMC TERRAIN SLT 2.0 and I noticed in your lovely review, that there's isn't much or any difference between my 2018 and the 2019 apart from the panoramic sunroof which mine does not have but order than that, everything else is the same. Hi Rahul! They do come with a standard 12V plug-in
Rahul, you won't need the Garmin as the GMC terrain has an excellent navigation system and with the Apple Car Play and Android Auto, you can use GoogleMaps or my favorite Waze which light years ahead of the Garmin.
The start stop feature will be the reason to overlook this.. darn.
Don't let that stop you! You will hardly notice it anyway
Idk bout this car but most you can buy a different ecu and tune it to not auto stop or to whatever you want
I have a 18 Terrain. You Definitely notice.
I know I was dead set on buying this then just found out it has start stop that you can’t disable ??
@@grneyz0529 Hi Jacqueline, It is a shame that you let the start-stop feature prevent you from getting this vehicle. I have a 2018 Terrain Denali, and I love it. I can barely notice the stop start-stop, and also why produce extra exhaust gases?

This suv is the same as the Chevy equinox maybe a step up and more money,I just got the equinox premier I would have got the gmc but I ended up going to the Chevy dealership first
