God is never late. Impatience and desperation will always put us in trouble. Christ in Jn16:33 already said to us that we would have troubles in this world but he has overcome. This is a clear call for us to trust the Lord. People pleasing should never be a reason why we go against God’s ordinances however right it may seem in our eyes. We shouldn’t even be people pleasers in the first place because a people’s pleaser can never be a God pleaser. This passage is very reflective. There is a need for us to assess the state of our heart before God. Do we honour the Lord? Do we see God as a means to an end? Do we have a repentant heart? Do we love God and people? Who truly is God to us? Thank you Pastor David for always❤
Thank you Pastor David, again, as I read through Samuel God is speaking to me every day and highlighting things to me to understand, to be dealt with n to be thankful for. How can I love God? I praise God for who He is, the great God, Yahweh, creator, sustainer, Father. And for all He's done, He died to redeem me, He chose n called me, He's been so faithful for years (despite...) He's changing me to be more like Himself. I love to read His word, and pray. Yes, I can praise, worship, submit (not always! But want to) want to honour and obey, gratitude, appreciation, but love is SO hard. Yes, He loves me immeasurably. Life has made me hard n distrustful n independent n unloving. How can I love Him? You often say in your prayers, "we love you Lord", but I can't in all honesty, despite wanting to. As I've written this, some 'answer' , a thought, has come to me, but I'd appreciate your help. Ask God. Take it to God and ask Him to give you that heart that's 'after His own heart', that is soft, like David's. Thank you for your faithful teaching and service as I continue to pray for you.
Dear God, I thank you that I can trust in You totally, never becoming anxious when troubling times come my way. Help me to remain at peace, O Lord, fully knowing that all will be well because You are with me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen Shalom ☂️🚦🔥👣💯.
Awesome! Getting the merits for the victory of Jonathan was the first small sign, almost going unnoticed concerning Saul’s character and his heart. I also read that Saul knew exactly he had to wait in Gilgal for 7 days, it was one of the signs that Samuel gave him when he anointed him as a king in 1 Samuel 10:8: “Go down ahead of me to Gilgal. I will surely come down to you to sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, but you must wait seven days until I come to you and tell you what you are to do.” But unfortunately Saul feared that the people were leaving him so he felt he had to do something.

Amen! Yes Lord, help me to be like David not like Saul. Keep my heart in check.
This is a good teaching! Can't wait to come back and study chapter 14.
OUR BIBLE STUDY TONIGHT IS ON THIS VERY CHAPTER AND THIS GIVES ME MORE INSIGHT SO THANK YOU.

So Saul is like Adam.
