"Fake bulky" is one of the most accurate descriptions for so many Pokémon lol. Like Wailord, Bastiodon and Emboar.I burst out laughing when I heard this.
At least Emboar sorta uses its awful fake bulk with recoil moves Darmantitan is maybe the best "fake bulky" pokemon because it just has a zillion hp as an HP buffer for flare blitz
Lickitongue's mediocre stats are speculated to be because at some point in development making the first gym Normal type rather than Rock was considered, so they designed a Normal type boss encounter monster that'd have served the same role as Onix in the final game.
That honestly makes sense. The first few mons you get are all normal and it’s only in the Forest where actual types start to be introduced. It would make sense if the first gym was normal and every other had a type. And probably explain why the last gym was basically just a repeat of the first gym. It wasn’t supposed to be at first.
Finally, the demands for the XD tier list PREMIUM will cease. Surely the masses will be satisfied and you'll get no more questions about 'x when', 'y when'... right?
I just adore Pokemon XD so much. From the upbeat music of the Cipher Peon battle to the stunning beautiful theme of the Realgam Tower, each loop carries an incredible feeling of nostalgia. And don't even get me started on Mirror B's theme. So good. Booster doesn't know what he's talking about. This is far from mediocre. It's a treasure trove. Definitely one of the more underrated titles.
I love how Colosseum protagonist is such an edgy dude, guy really loves Shadow the Hedgehog, and then in sequel main character is a guy with giant round head that looks like character from Jimmy Neutron
The Groundon Mecha fighting like a regular Pokémon battle has to be one of the most disappointing things I have ever experienced in a video game, and I played Mega Man Zero 3, a game where the overpowered final boss that they have been building up for the entire narrative is a literal PNG for the first two phases and the third one had its AI screwed up by the limitations of the GBA.
Omega Zero is an awesome final boss the only disappointing thing about it is that 1) it's too easy, at least in the ZX Rematch they ramped it up tho 2) it's a palette swap. It would have been much cooler if it looked like Megaman X Zero.
Ursaring might be even better if it got a secondary typing. Probably Ground because that’s a pretty good type to offset Normal being mediocre. And just minmaxed to the extreme. Tons of Attack, HP and Defense to make it a real tank. So being slow wouldn’t be *that* bad. But they’d probably make it have a really annoying evolution method. Think they’d ever do that?
@@ImportedCheeseThey’d probably also make another from that’s even better. But just with Sp. Attack. And with a stupidly broken exclusive move. But then add another tax to obtain it. Surely they’d never do that
Sounds like something that would’ve happened back in my addiction, up all night dopesick drifting in and out of shallow nightmares just hearing that jingle over and over again
You forgot to mention, Chobin in his Robo Groudon has a Gyarados with two moves, Thrash and Bite. And a Hoppip. And in an optional battle, he upgrades Gyarados with Twister and Dragon Rage and Hoppip evolves into Skiploom. Not even a Jumpluff.
Came for the tier list stayed for the humor and fire editing on top of being genuinely impressed with the game knowledge lmao Also 22:25 Battle bingo is such a good mini game it’s unreal
Watching this I can't help but admire your dedication to the running jokes, no matter how many times you mention Refresh or how Pokemon don't evolve this gen you always say them with the same enthusiasm.
Lapras's name could also be for the French scientist/mathematician LaPlace, whose name means "the seat", as he measured the mathematics of ocean wave patterns and this is a creature you sit on and ride the waves. Hearing that it might be based on the blue gemstone _lapis_ makes a lot of sense too, and is nowhere near as deep or random of an obscure cut.

2:03:33 Toxic Boost is actually SLIGHTLY stronger than Guts because it boosts the base attack power of the moves rather than the physical attack itself, so Facade ends up being 210 base power.
@@sussy3778 it has the same minimum damage roll and the other rolls are barely stronger, I would still call it a downgrade since it only works on poison
I think togetic is actually bottom 1; at least snorunt MIGHT evolve, as someone who used togetic in my last XD playthrough, it evolved late in Citadark Isle after being babied for the entire playthrough. It's honestly outrageous lol.
I feel like guts mons should get a leg up here , because you can actually reliably status your own pokemon as all battles here are double battles , and since status effects dont disappear when the battle is over you can invest one turn in one double battle then cleave through the rest of the other battles until the next time you have to heal and just do the same thing again
Finally seeing the Culling of Stratholme opening I knew was coming was very cathartic. Pokemon Tier Lists are temporary, WC3 LARPing is forever. Another gem of a video, Cheese. I look forward to spending more time in your chats saying WC3 quotes that only me and 10 other people find slightly amusing.
Probably woulda helped to mention that Kirlia is in the Slow level up group. So it's mathematically the 2nd hardest pokemon to grind up in the game. the first is Zangoose because he's one of the chosen few to be in the erratic level up group (an experiment in gen 3 GF forgot about for 20 years until freaking Appln). But Zangoose comes at 28 and can take care of himself. Also, erratic's level up group starts to beat out slow around level 37. Still would put kirlia in Lobar at least. the rest of the Finest either won't get to full power before the game ends (Trapinch, Larvitar) or will never return on what you invest in them. Kirlia will at least reward you for the struggle by around mid(ish)-game.
A few misses here imo! -Shiftry with Secret Power is decent! The secret isn't that it is any stronger than you're expecting or anything, this game's power level is just really low. You can also absolutely utilize Sunny Day + Solarbeam later in the game for much the same reason. Didn't try Brick Break on it myself but I can't imagine it's bad. -Gulpin is solid ever so slightly short. Sing being 55% accurate by default is awful, but Shadow Mist is a very common support move that lowers evasion by 2 stages, immediately making the move about 92% accurate, and as Swalot is slow as molasses you can usually guarantee your partner can use Shadow Mist ahead of it. It's also in the Fluctuating EXP group, meaning that the relatively low level it evolves at is functionally even easier to reach than it would be for just about anything else. And if you really don't like Sing, you can just as easily use Yawn instead. I'd say it's a pretty great teammate for enabling catches, even if it chugs in endgame. -Numel is definitely not in Orre's finest. Magnitude's inconsistent BP is shored up almost entirely by dealing full damage to all targets, and there are a decent amount of partners that at least resist Ground to pair it with. There's a pretty significant number of fights early on that Numel alone enables you to clear in a single turn despite there being three pokemon; your partner OHKOs one foe, gets replaced, and then the remaining duo get OHKO'd by a decent Magnitude roll. Then as Camerupt, it doesn't even need a TM for Earthquake. (Also it's that Helping Hand Duskull partner you were thinking of!) -Hoppip? Finest? You're going to look at Sleep Powder bot 9000 in the game about catching your opponent's Pokemon and drop it in the bin? I know you played the game, you have video proof and everything, but did you play the game? Do you need damage if you can engage in targeted removal of any threat? The power level is even low enough to make the 25% chance to miss fairly inconsequential because you'll live weaker Shadow moves pretty often with decent bulk. The Hoppip lobby is coming for you, and you'd best hide if you don't want to be put into a deep slumber. You'll wake up Refreshed™️ if you like it or not. -I am a certified Ralts Doubter and even I don't think it's got a home in the finest. You're waiting for Level 26 for Psychic to start being decent, and Gardevoir at 30 is pretty much just Espeon with Electric coverage instead of Dark and a Sleep move for Snags. You and editing you are wrong. There's some other smaller silly things - Electrode should not be that much lower than Jolteon, Persian absolutely did not get a fair shake, and Lunatone needs to get down from up there before it gets hurt. But considering this game takes a small lifetime to compete a playthrough of, I can't really say I have first hand experience for much of anything else. Overall, I think you have a Vital Spirit, and as a result undervalue quality Sleep.
@@ImportedCheese Have you ever checked out the in-game tier list of this game on Smogon? They put Ralts in the highest and Hoppip in the second higherst tier. That doesn't mean that they are correct and you are wrong, but I find the difference staggering.
Ralts fumble aside (post edit doubling down took a regular bad take to unsalvageable but funny), this was still a pretty good list so had a fun time watching both the original livestream and the premiere. Delcatty section has me looking forward the Mystery Dungeon playthrough whenever that happens.
Ralts is horrendous, I will never bow to the ralts lobby Fire emblem fandom has been dealing with this forever, sick of people thinking nino is good!!!!!!
@@ImportedCheese You spent a large amount of the preamble talking about how garbage enemy teams are, Kirlia's stats are fine, especially after getting Psychic. It doesn't even take that long to get Garde, if you're playing the game at anything less than speedrun pace.
It's SO awful, I will not budge. Ralts is completely useless, by the time it's purified it's already way too far behind to be worth sacrificing xp to. @@emblemwarrior11
@@ImportedCheese I don't think anyone here is saying Ralts is amazing, but "finest"? No way. Not when Natu makes it to bad despite having terrible stats that are never getting better, a far worse movepool, and lower availability.
@@ImportedCheese Ralts isn't comparable to Nino though. Nino is bad because she joins late with bad stats. Ralts joins early. If you want to make a comparison, then it should be to the sacred stones trainees. But the difference is that at least Gardevoir is one of the best Pokemon you can get once evolved, while the trainees are never meaningfully better than the alternatives.
A truly great video that left me refreshed. Now here's the question, when are going to rank all the rental Pokemon in battle revolution? I'm sure there's so many that it'll probably take 24 hours just to get through it. I mean it's not like the rental economy would have had the absolute worst downward spiral mankind had ever seen between stadium 2 and battle revolution, right? Right?!
Grass, Bug and Poison are my favorite types and I'm just so proud that most of them managed to outperform Delcatty in this tierlist. I get the feeling playing Colosseum/XD is kinda like playing two games made entirely in homage of Pryce's team & Rocket's Goldenrod takeover. But at least they're hilarious (refreshing, even?) to learn about at a comfortable distance!
Its fascinating that grass whistle is roselias signiture move despite it never being seen meanwhile nuzleaf is alwasy seen using grass whistle despite not learning it
I am in the minority, but younger me also loved this and Colosseum. I did like them, and still do, but I realize that they have many flaws. I did enjoy grinding and playing these games a lot, and being able to get more pokemom into the other gen3 games. I also really liked the last Colosseum in the post game, which is really hard to beat.
Another tragic reason for Aron deserving the lowest tier is that, in gen 3, the Aron line doesn't learn a single rock attack by level-up. Great tier-list video as alaways; but I am a little sad that the lowest tier isn't called "ORREble".
Well, I patiently waited like a good viewer, so I can sit on the high ground of not harassing cheese and STILL get to enjoy his premium video! Take your time, Cheese, 'cause as someone that is working in a dead-end job right now....I can appreciate how much work goes into ANYTHING now.
What is that Gardevoir placement? Good stats, early Evolution and good attacking moves. A good Pokemon considering all of the other Orre Pokemon. Played XD recently and had no problem evolving it especially with EXP share. If you can't evolve it that's a skill issue. I mostly agree with the rest of the list though.
ralts are kirlia are HORRIFIC, it's not worth leeching xp to evolve. so sick of hearing SKILL ISSUE, I will not rest until each and every zoomer is a ghost type
@@ImportedCheese Yeah I know that Ralts and Kirlia are bad but you won't have to wait too long to evolve into Gardevoir. The skill issue wasn't meant to be taken seriously though. You're good.
@@ImportedCheese I'd like to think of the Ralts line in XD as a high growths unit. Ralts and Kirlia are just bad but if you invest a little bit in it you'll get a Pokemon that oneshots almost anything that doesn't resist or is immune to Psychic. I feel like that's very good in a Region that's devoid of many good Pokemon. I personally would say that these things alone should make Ralts at least BAD, maybe even low OK tier but I respect your opinion. Espeon is of course superior in terms of availability but I already played XD about 2 years ago and chose Jolteon and I also played Colloseum and used Espeon and Umbreon. Since I didn't want to use Espeon or Jolteon again I used Vaporeon and therefore lacked a good Psychic type in XD so I may be a little biased but considering how useful Gardevoir is your placement felt a little bit off to me. Anyways have a nice day!
kirlia might be bad, but it does at least have a decent stab move with not the worst stats ever, I think that alone is enough to put it in lowbar. It is just worse than espeon, but basically everything is worse than the eeveelution of the same type, so that's not really a surprise.
@@ImportedCheese 65 spatk and a stab move isn't great, but it's somehow better than most of the stuff in the finest. And it actually doesn't take that long to get going. It's bad, but this XD. The bar is pretty low.
@@ImportedCheese So Shroomish is bad too? This is obviously hyperbolic, Shroomish needs a lot less exp to evolve compared to Ralts and Kirlia. But you still drag a Pokemon that does almost no damage around for 8 levels, and judging by your placement of Hoppip and the like, spreading status isn't valuable.
I wrote your hate comment for you, how convenient! Yet another rancid Imported Cheese stinker. THREE MONTHS of time wasted with your stupid Warcraft 3 LARP streams only to then put out this trashfire and expect us to take it. For someone who critizes GameFreak so much, it sure looks like you're living in a glass house. Where do I even begin? I know you love hearing yourself blather on about inane crap, but you really couldn't cut it down to under three hours? A whole half hour of preamble is just indulgent, not to mention BORING. That's to say nothing of your completely bonkers opinions; I get that James Turner stole your girlfriend or whatever (as if any girls would be friends with you) but your hate for Genius Sonority is so baffling to me. Colosseum and XD are both criminally underrated gems, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a normie swine like you is badmouthing them. Art is SUBJECTIVE, who are you to preach about what is and isn't fun? Oh and don't even get me started on this "tier list." You should be instiutionalized for some of these takes. Ralts in the lowest tier? Gardevoir has amazing stats, but a zoomer participation trophy generation embryo like yourself couldn't POSSIBLY understand the concept delayed gratification. I'm honestly stunned you had to the time to put together this "video" inbetween day-long benders watching TikTok and TH-cam shorts while shovelling grease down your gullet. You sent And I know that comedy is subjective, but your "comedy" is objectively horrendous. "OH MY GOD THIS THING'S HORRIBLE" was stale back in your Gen 2 list, it's a dessicated corpse by now. How about you get some new material for once in your life? It's unbelievable how someone as inept as you survives from day to day, just another sign of how our modern day culture coddles man-children and shields them from the consequences of the real world. This was one of the worst videos I've ever had the misfortune of sitting through, and I'll be warning others to stay far, far away, as if your ugly mug wasn't all the deterrent anyone would need anyway.
You failed to mention that the music in XD is SO GOOD that I litterally played it at my wedding non-stop during the full night. Yes, it's that much of a banger.
I played the game recently and never purified the Pokémons (self imposed challenge), and not once have my non-shadow moves failed when in reverse mode. So I think reverse mode is just damage at the end of each turn lol
Pretty funny and interesting video. I really enjoy the editing style, keeps the viewer engaged and having fun. However I think the Gen 4 evolution joke was beaten into the ground after the 3rd use of it
Flareon SEEMS like a bad idea (and it kinda sorta is compared with Jolts and Esp), but you get access to body slam, return and shadow ball and it really smacks with those moves. Most things you're burning with fire moves suck at sp.def anyway, so it surprisingly has quite a bit of coverage when you run through the game with it. Shadow ball can also combo well with fire moves with it's chance to lower sp.def, so there's that. Abit slow though, so yeah. You have quick attack though off that high attack to beat faster things that almost died, so there's that. Fire move/Shadow ball/Return or Body Slam/Quick attack and you have a solid set.
I love Snorunt/Glalie and tried using them in a playthrough, not realizing how shytely designed that evolution condition is. Having squarely even stats is a charming feature to me for some reason
I'm so glad magneton gets refresh, I mean: I know it can't get para'd or poisoned, because of its typing, but at least they can't stop your double edginess by burning you now.
Man, Altaria could’ve been so much better. Like, what if it had a bunch of extra stats-say, 100 BST of extre stats-and then, to make it really crazy, give it a completely new typing to replace its Flying type. Like, a completely new type that does something ridiculous like make Altaria immune to other dragons. And then, to top it all off, give it an ability that gives it super-STAB on that new type. Think they’d ever do that?
Gotta disagree with you on Espeon being a Jagen. Espeon is more of a Sigurd my guy. “Pre-promote” that gains exp at normal rate and outspeeds literally everything and one rounds like 90% of the time, and happens to hard carry your playthrough with minimal effort (immediately available) while also making ally growth significantly easier. THAT is a Sigurd!!
Thank you for the entertaining video, even if I disagree with some of your takes. Should the power level of the available Pokemon not be compared to that of the opposing Pokemon? If most of the in-game Pokemon are weak, then is there actually an issue with low BST? If anything, these coliseum games give many of the "finest" Pokemon an opportunity to shine, or at least be usable.
When I played this game Delcatty carried me (with Espeon) through most it. It comes out of the box fully evolved with a 70 power STAB move that can do extra things so even though the stats are terrible it still has that niche. I was playing semi-blind with just general series knowledge. I felt like a lot of XD was just trying to make pokemon work that are underlevelled so it was nice to have something that started as good as it was going to get. I had no idea how bad the BST really was though, lordy.
I actually love your tier list even if you hate hard on this and colosseum that are stellar games. Some of us love the ability to focus on and use terrible Pokémon that would not be used otherwise!
I don't understand. I'll never understand. I don't care that the pokemon in these games are awful, the games themselves are terrible. Pokemon fans must be destroyed, it's the only way
I know this video is a month old but at 3:28:49 I was really surprised you didn't compare Lugia to the Gotoh Archtype in fire emblem. Being a Silly English Speaking Weeb who played FE7 First I think of it as the Athos Archtype myself. But It seems to be a pretty good fit for lugia here.
I think this video is fair, despite my bias for this game. I don't agree with every placement, though that's probably not exclusive to me. One thing to note, I never found Kirlia to be so bad, but I do remember struggling with it around the Snagem hideout and probably just ground it to level 30 as a kid. Though this tierlist doesn't include such NOOB strats such as these. (Beats grinding for T-tar and Flygon, though).
I'd like to say "it would be cool to see you play Pokémon XG, a difficulty romhack of this game with far more interesting enemy trainers that makes you sometimes want to refrain from purifying your shadows for powerful moves and the shadow resistance, and includes a functional robo Groudon fight" Because, it is true. I would like to watch that if it were real. But that's big ask, and the hack doesn't address some of the game's other flaws, like the music. And I'm somewhat new, so I'm not parasocially invested in you specifically playing XG. So, this is not a request. It is something I do not expect that would nonetheless be neat.
Hey Cheese, what was the music that played during the "Refreshed" clips? It sounds pretty good. BTW Great Premium. Glad to catch both the live and the premium!
In the description (autogenerated response by youtube!!! It is...not in the description, thanks youtube ) It's the milk bar from legend of zelda majora's mask!
lavitar-tyranitar steamrolls the rest of the game. Put exp share on it, chuck all the rare candies you get to get t-tar and it carries. It becomes usable at some point at pupitar (with exp share battling is crazy exp). I would definitely say T-tar is worth puting all your eggs into that basket with eevee + houndoom
"You aren't ever getting Gardevoir" meanwhile, me with the multiple playthroughs where I get a gardevoir by the time I get to the wrecked ship: Granted, I take the game very casually slow and do everything I can do during the playthrough including fucking battle Bingo and Mt. Battle for good TMs, so don't take this to mean I'm disagreeing with you. Most people aren't literally insane like I am
You know what I don't love though? Pokemon Battle Revolution, that thing sucked! We got it hoping for a game but it was just pokemon battling. We can do that in the actual pokemon games! What's the point? Don't worry I agree with your controversial opinions Cheese. Okay wait no, I don't agree about the music opinion. Fuck you Cheese I'm joining the downvote number to make your NEW most Downvoted Video!!!
Grimer is actually not that bad in XD, and you can definitely get a Muk, it'll be during the final dungeon, but in my experience, you'll have it around the lava room with the trainers with the Hitmon's. It hits decently hard and doesn't get 1 shot by shadow end (except from Snorlax) during the last leg of the game. Also, while not ranked, I feel like you might be sleeping on Guts STAB Facade Swellow. Especially considering its speed.
This was my first Pokemon game and it’s the reason Vaporeon is my favorite eeveelution because I picked the Water Stone. Much as I loathe to admit it, Ursaring definitely carried me on my first playthrough
@@ImportedCheese Might have worded it weirdly, that was more so a dunk on Vaporeon because it wasn’t really pulling its weight in battle until it got Hydro Pump
Imo the main issues with games like Colosseum and XD are these games were made so that you could get Johto Pokemon and import them into RSE. What they didn't account for is that Gen 2 is filled with horrible Pokemon that noone actually uses and wouldn't seek out unless they want to complete their Gen 3 dex. Also, the fact that there are a lot of bad Hoenn pokemon in this game shows how overrated the pokemon introduced in Hoenn are imo. Like, nobody talks about how half of the Hoenn mons are absolutely garbage and unusable.
Let’s go! Cheese you get soooooo much playtime out of me as my nightly lullaby. Some people like rain. Some people like ocean sounds. I ONLY NEED CHEESE MY TRUE WATER TYPE
The premium edit took almost as long as I did to find an affordable copy of this game! (I'm just joking Cheese, thank you for the great long-form content.)

And don't even get me started on Mirror B's theme. So good. Booster doesn't know what he's talking about. This is far from mediocre. It's a treasure trove. Definitely one of the more underrated titles.

Colosseum dude also has got a decent looking goth GF meanwhile XD dude stole a scouter from Vegeta lol.
At least gen 7 jelly lusamine is a true, unique boss battle, right?!
@@ImportedCheese Nah, but there's raid and titan Pokémon battles if you want to count.

Sounds pretty nuts...no way they'd also let you have that without paying some sort of real-life tax to get it some spinoff
@@ImportedCheeseThey’d probably also make another from that’s even better. But just with Sp. Attack. And with a stupidly broken exclusive move. But then add another tax to obtain it. Surely they’d never do that

@@ImportedCheese By technicality, since it's only sliiiiightly stronger. Check on Smogon's Damage calculator against a few mons.

I feel like guts mons should get a leg up here , because you can actually reliably status your own pokemon as all battles here are double battles , and since status effects dont disappear when the battle is over you can invest one turn in one double battle then cleave through the rest of the other battles until the next time you have to heal and just do the same thing again

I will never bow to the kirlia lobby, it's ranked higher in other games but this game has no xp
I CANNOT WAIT TO BEHOLD THE LIGHT!
Glad you could make it, viewer
(Also it's that Helping Hand Duskull partner you were thinking of!)
-Hoppip?
Absolutely all of this is insane, I will not budge
@@ImportedCheese Have you ever checked out the in-game tier list of this game on Smogon? They put Ralts in the highest and Hoppip in the second higherst tier. That doesn't mean that they are correct and you are wrong, but I find the difference staggering.

Ralts is horrendous, I will never bow to the ralts lobby
Fire emblem fandom has been dealing with this forever, sick of people thinking nino is good!!!!!!

Right?!
Glad you're refreshed!
PBR someday
Grass, Bug and Poison are my favorite types and I'm just so proud that most of them managed to outperform Delcatty in this tierlist.
I get the feeling playing Colosseum/XD is kinda like playing two games made entirely in homage of Pryce's team & Rocket's Goldenrod takeover. But at least they're hilarious (refreshing, even?) to learn about at a comfortable distance!
At least all of those types get better when they finally get real moves
Its fascinating that grass whistle is roselias signiture move despite it never being seen meanwhile nuzleaf is alwasy seen using grass whistle despite not learning it
Who would ever use grasswhistle it's so bad
I am in the minority, but younger me also loved this and Colosseum. I did like them, and still do, but I realize that they have many flaws. I did enjoy grinding and playing these games a lot, and being able to get more pokemom into the other gen3 games.
I also really liked the last Colosseum in the post game, which is really hard to beat.
I NEVER liked them, and I was right!!
Another tragic reason for Aron deserving the lowest tier is that, in gen 3, the Aron line doesn't learn a single rock attack by level-up.
Great tier-list video as alaways; but I am a little sad that the lowest tier isn't called "ORREble".
At least it gets rock head head smash eventually

Then you are forgiven!!
I've rated the ralts line much higher in other games it's in, the 10 levels is just too much in this game @@selena3467
Well for starters it lacks the Fairy type, meaning you'll feel the low stats for Kirlia and Ralts even more before you even get to Gardevoir.
kirlia might be bad, but it does at least have a decent stab move with not the worst stats ever, I think that alone is enough to put it in lowbar. It is just worse than espeon, but basically everything is worse than the eeveelution of the same type, so that's not really a surprise.
But it does have the worst stats ever!! Pretty much everything that needs to evolve and can't fight on its own is useless in this game
When he does the "This thing doesn't evolve?......OH MY GOD THIS THING'S HORRIBLE!" joke, I feel like Lucille Bluth reacting to Gene Parmesan
I don't know who either of those two are but I hope it's a good thing

Dual type when
Flareon SEEMS like a bad idea (and it kinda sorta is compared with Jolts and Esp), but you get access to body slam, return and shadow ball and it really smacks with those moves.
Well that's why it's not among the finest
@@ImportedCheese yeah the placement was honestly generous i would have put it slightly lower lol

Sounds pretty wild, I dunno. Maybe in gen 10
THAT is a Sigurd!!
where's the HOLY WEAPON bro
Thank you for the entertaining video, even if I disagree with some of your takes. Should the power level of the available Pokemon not be compared to that of the opposing Pokemon? If most of the in-game Pokemon are weak, then is there actually an issue with low BST? If anything, these coliseum games give many of the "finest" Pokemon an opportunity to shine, or at least be usable.
The horrible roster can't fight sudden salamence

When I played this game Delcatty carried me (with Espeon) through most it. I'd like to say "it would be cool to see you play Pokémon XG, a difficulty romhack of this game with far more interesting enemy trainers that makes you sometimes want to refrain from purifying your shadows for powerful moves and the shadow resistance, and includes a functional robo Groudon fight"
Because, it is true.
We might someday, it seems fun

Okay wait no, I don't agree about the music opinion. Fuck you Cheese I'm joining the downvote number to make your NEW most Downvoted Video!!!
the genius sonority wars have begun
Grimer is actually not that bad in XD, and you can definitely get a Muk, it'll be during the final dungeon, but in my experience, you'll have it around the lava room with the trainers with the Hitmon's. It hits decently hard and doesn't get 1 shot by shadow end (except from Snorlax) during the last leg of the game. Also, while not ranked, I feel like you might be sleeping on Guts STAB Facade Swellow. Especially considering its speed.
Horrific options, SICK of dealing with swellow propaganda in every video
I mean you can use them by challenging battle mountain at the end game.
I missed your tier lists, eager to watch this one
Teal mask wasn't that long ago right?!
This was my first Pokemon game and it’s the reason Vaporeon is my favorite eeveelution because I picked the Water Stone. Much as I loathe to admit it, Ursaring definitely carried me on my first playthrough
I mean...ursaring is good lol
@@ImportedCheese Might have worded it weirdly, that was more so a dunk on Vaporeon because it wasn’t really pulling its weight in battle until it got Hydro Pump
i had not finish watching the video, but what is actually the best sleeper in the game for catching pokemon? or is paralyze the way to go instead?
Been waiting for the premium to come out!
How splendid, surely he'll talk in depth about how underrated and overhated this game and its pokemon are!
True!! Probably in too much depth!
The Refresh Jingle is going to be stuck in my head for a week.
Refreshed!
The pokemon in XD are overall a lot better than Colo, the issue is their evo levels and the order you get them in (wtf is with the 4 nega jeigans)
Pokemon battle revolution is the best because I can put gastrodon on a team and listen to an announcer get excited about it
Without the storm drain buff, too!!!!!!
Let’s go! Cheese you get soooooo much playtime out of me as my nightly lullaby. Some people like rain. Some people like ocean sounds. I ONLY NEED CHEESE MY TRUE WATER TYPE
Yess......sweet dreams....sweet ad revenue...
@@ImportedCheese I got you fam
Zapdos does actually use Baton Pass in Gen 3 OU to pass substitute or get momentum
Gotta flee from the mighty swampert
Imported Cheese roasting Gen 2 and Grass types is like Mr1Upz gassing up Crabrawler and Perrserker...an inevitability
At least gen 2 pokemon eventually get gen 4 improvements
@@ImportedCheese Not enough though. I could think at least five that need an evo
Dude the skits are always soooo good
Those of you who have the will to build this tier list, like and subscribe
Pokemon Battle Bingo and Pikmin Bingo Battle. Hmmm....there's a pattern here.
Grass.........
Ok so after the tier list what is the best team over all and does it include mount battle
Somehow this is considered Peak Pokemon for some people.
It does look very good!
The premium edit took almost as long as I did to find an affordable copy of this game!
(I'm just joking Cheese, thank you for the great long-form content.)
Thank you for your patience
Oh boy! Slow mixed attackers, my favorite!
Welcome to gen 3!
The disikes you showed are double what the extension shows
Sounds about right
2:35:02 Run away is even worse. You can't even run from wild battles in XD, as run is replaced by call. This applies even at PokeSpots.
Justice for run away...
