This was my first introduction to the world of Sherlock Holmes when I was a kid. I was hooked and bought the complete Sherlock Holmes the next time we were at a book store. I’ve been wanting to see this series again for a couple decades.
The series has been available around 8-10 years though not always complete . This channel on the other hand has the best picture quality I`ve yet seen and a first when it comes to season one episode 3 .. These and the Ratbone series were also my introducion to this both great but sometimes also some mediocre but cult productions .
I am not familiar with this series but a big Sherlock Watson fan, thank you for posting it and I am looking forward to see if it is worth my time, your effort and the resources taxed...
The actor for this Lestrade, Patrick Newell, also starred in the Granada Series episode ‘The Resident Patient’. The Granada Series, ‘The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes’ is, in my opinion, the best ever by far of all film & TV versions of the Sherlock Holmes stories, and Jeremy Brett, the supreme interpreter of the Holmes character. To me, Brett is the quintessential Sherlock Holmes.

Nice another adaption I never knew about. However I will go to each episode and if VOLUME is as poor as this I will thumb down each without finishing. Headphones slightly better

Well, that's the best audio you're going to find. That's how it's on the DVD (though the german dub is a better quality).

How can a channel supposedly showing tributes to Geoffrey Whitehead show them all distorted like this? More of an insult than a tribute.
