This is a little disappointing but maybe it will get better. Camry was on my list as a possible replacement vehicle if my 15 year old BMW diesel car suffered a catastrophic failure not worth fixing. Im getting about 30 mpg city in stop and go and 38-40mpg highway at about 80mph in the old BMW. Also diesel is .40 per gallon more than regular gas. 3.0L inline 6cyl diesel (RWD) with twin turbos. Does power seem decent in the Camry? I wonder if I would get bored with it coming from a small car with 365whp/595lb torque.
My 2025 XSE easily getting over 50 mpg on highway trips driving on eco mode, cruise, 60 mph. The car has less than 10,000 total miles. I doubt my Camry is special. I’ve never gotten less than 40 mpg on any city or highway trip even while driving in sport mode.
60mph?! You would get run off the road here at those speeds on the interstate. Curious how it does at 80mph on fuel (usually set my cruise around 78-80 ish)
Wow... that's great. Do you have the AC on all the time

It might, but it does have a sports mode. It's pretty responsive.
Is this AWD or FWD?
FWD

@@BrianNC81 LOL! I'm from Texas, the home for 80 mph highways. I'm taking a trip soon... maybe I'll take note of the mpgs at "Texas" speeds...
@@TheSmokingBeard ours is 70 limit but traffic flows about 80mph. They should just raise the limit to 85 because almost nobody drives 70.
I have an SE and I’m averaging 48 mpg per tank.
