Easy way operate kerosene stove but using waste cooking oil. No smoke, No fumes and No soot

- Full and unedited video on how to use the kerosene stove, but using filtered waste cooking oil. It can also be used for used engine or motor oil. But I prefer used cooking oil.
I bought a keresone stove (Kusinilya de Bomba) for around PhP1,000 at Lazada. local online store.
I didnt modify anything on the stove unlike on my other videos that modification was done. I still use the stock Burner #1 and its nipple/nozzle.
The only difference is I fuel it with used / waste cooking oil.
Oil when burned emits smoke and fumes when not properly ignited because of higher flashpoint than of kerosene or diesel that are commonly used on this kind of stove.
Here are the techniques and procedures how to successfully operate smokeless and odorless stove:
1. Use the stove on a non windy but ventillated environment. Otherwise the burner will get cold and the flame will emit smoke and some unburned oil will also drip. Even a gentle breeze of wind affects the performance of the flame.
2. Always check the nozzle / nipple clog free.
3. Use only denatured alcohol on pre-heating. Do not use isopropyl or rubbing alcohol. They contain water.
4. Use 3 cotton balls soaked in Denatured alcohol. Do not overspill the pre-heating cup.
I manage to use 1 cotton ball only if I put some alcohol on top of the burner. Easier to pre-heat. But you must have good timing opening the control valve. Too quick, flame is not good. Too slow, flaming alcohol will dry out.
5. Right after using the stove, clean the nozzle / nipple for the next use.
Here are economical way to filter waste cooking oil:
1. Put the used collected cooking oil on a transparent container
2. Let is settle for at least a week. Some water and visible solid particles will settle below the container
3. I use surgical facemask as filter as this is available anywhere. I would recommend a new one not the used one, avoiding disease such as Covid-19. You can still re-use it until the oil is not dripping on the filter.
4. Using funnel with one ply of facemask, you can transfer the oil on another transparent container.
5. You can already fill up the stove with filtered used cooking oil.
Used cooking oil burning:
You will notice that the color of the flame is not blue unlike with the kerosene or diesel. This is because, there might be other suspended food particles on the oil even it is filtered. It is also the chemical content of oil itself. But you will notice the burner is already glowing. It means it is very hot.

I got also an early YT video that I replaced the burner with #2 which is larger because previously, I had several attempt to operate with stock #1 burner. But now, I got the technique.
Downside of a stock burner #1.
1. The nozzle is easily clogged compared when using burner #2.
2. I need to slowly adjust the control valve from time to time as the flame is not stable compared to the burner #2. Maybe because burner #2 has more room to heat the more oil inside the tube, so the flame is stable.

Good to know that there are alternative fuels that may be successfully used in this type of stove. In the worst case, cleaning and putting the unit back in service appears simple. This information provides a great backup in an emergency.

You should filter that used oil.. If that stove is like the stove we have here in the Philippines then it should be a Kerosene fuel stove. Kerosene usually has impurities that clog the burner especially when it gets old...then you have to unclog it using a very thin wire like a guitar string to clean the tiny holes of the burner.. With used OIL, it would be pretty dirty...

O cano que abastece deve passar por cima do fogo, para pre aquecer o oleo. Fazendo isso vai se transformar em gás ou no mínimo um vapor, fazendo a chama ficar azul.

The problem is that it cannot be used when the temperature is cold, such as between 10pm to 9am because used cooking oil will start to solidify or become cloudy no matter how much effort you pre-heating the burner, use only this method at 11am-8pm when the temperature is not yet cold, unless if it is snowy. Use it only between noon to 8pm. I tried it and tested it.

He,He, Right, But the idea is non electric. Got a old solar panel with a regulator that will hook up to charge the truck battery. Kung puro na used cooking oil hindi po yan sisindi. The best example ay yung nagpiprito kayo na umaapoy sa kawali. May halo po yan na fuel tulad ng kerosene, gasoline o diesel. Subukan nyo ang purong used oil hindi po sumisindi. Mas totoo po yung may separate blower at dripping used oil sa kalan.

Veggie oil over time gets dirty with animal fats, invisible solids, and other stuff. Also the viscosity changes. Someone with an alternative fuel truck came by the cafe and collected our used veggie oils. He did a few things to it before he used it like separating the solids out. The truck bed had equipment bolted down to automatically clean it.

Actually po, mukhang ok ngang ganitin ang used oil (pinaggamitang mantika). Kasi bukod sa narere use sya kesa itapon lng. You should remove the burning cotton from underneath, it sucks away oxygen and won't let the burner flame turn blue.
It shouldn't take that long to preheat the burner, Why did you put cotton on that little cup? You're supposed to just put kerosene there and light it. By the time the kerosene burns off, the burner should be hot.
I did not see you pump the tank (pressurize it).You should pressurize the tank first after filling it with oil (kerosene), then pre-heat the burner then open the burner control - that should not take more than 30 seconds.. It took you 31/2 minutes...

Try mix used oil mix with gasoline. 9L waste oil mix 1L gasoline. Faster priming and better flame.

It's a releasing valve that allow the compressed air in the tank to be released after you finish using the stove.
its an air valve controler of the compressor tank.. if the air is too much you can less the air inside the compression tank using that valve..

there was one model that you don't have to pump air...the gas is in the elevated or hanging container with the tubes connected to the burner.. kerosene will travel through GRAVITY instead of compressed air..

Compression add heat to the oil .....it makes the viscosity of the oil higher for an easy flow going to the nozzle.
elevated fuel is a differant operating principle and far less efficient. you can not acheive fuel vaporization with out air pressure. air/fuel mixture means cleaner and hotter burning flame vs a basic candle wick type operation
