Props to you for doing this DJ because I know how much time and effort you have put into this and I really enjoy it. Also this must have been Such an expensive project with all the models you have purchased and ofcourse all of the parts you have also purchased. Thanks for the update bud
Thanks for understanding mate, one episode takes around an hour to set up with GSE and all. As for money that isn't really a concern but I will say material wise people over estimate greatly. One paint pens Is around 5 dollars and that remember completes all the line work. It's the many benefits of a home made airport. You also have the option of creating your own layout rather than going with foils.
your airport looks better and better! I love the extension part, really nice work. I wish you best of luck with your school, you've said it absolutely correctly. In such situations you have to set priorities, I had to do this multiple times as well some time ago. Just keep going like this!
Thanks mate! Unfortunately you are correct, however, I felt it necessity to tell you guys. I know most won't actually watch the explanation but for those who do they will understand when there's an absence.
Airport looks great. Extension very nicely done. Spotting area is a big bonus. Glad you found that wheel:) I think your airport updates are at good intervals. Hope your school work goes well!
Cheers mate! I thought it might be something cool to include in the future :-) as for the design of it I don't really have an idea yet but I'll decide closer to the day of getting the materials.
DJ great video thanks for the update. You can really notice the difference it looks really good can't wait to see it when it is finished. I would like to suggest two models for your airport. The first being the Virgin Australia Boeing 777-300ER (it's great to see these back at Melbourne Airport) and the second would have to be the Qantas Dreamliner to celebrate the Melbourne to Perth to London route. Keep up the great work. Cheers Josh
Thank you so much Josh! You might have missed me on this but the airport is based in London so the VA 777 wouldn't really fit. As for the QF 787-9 I do hope to get that and put it on the London-Perth-Melbourne route but the current release of the 787-9 sports the wrong rego.
Good one! I wish I could see a Lufthansa A321 on the London (DJ) - Hamburg route in real life... Did get very boring after all routes were transfered to Eurowings! Good old times when LH used to fly LHR-HAM with the 737!
Auckland! I'll try to sell my car the next weeks. I'm so sad that I have to go to a car market tomorrow. I'll miss the Korean 773 in Skyteam livery and the United for wildlife 380 -eeq... :D
Thanks mate, yes been a while, however, I do explain why there's a delay. 3/4 of my GSE is the 1/500 scale. I've found do they not only fit the 1:400 equally as good as the 1:400 GSE but also Herpa have created a wider variety.
Unfortunately, I can't make it out sorry, as I said in this video School is taking a hold of me and I'm doing work for sometimes 7 hours a night. Also, have exams after school which makes it really difficult.
damn man! your airport looks amazing! i think we should do a route or something haha like the klm 744? awesome to see you started the terminal buildings. Liked
Early stages of creating one mate :-) I don't really want to set a completion date just yet because I might run over the due date etc. Thanks so much for your kind words.
Best update ever!!! Could you tell me the length and width of both pieces of wood planks so i can get wood like that, and also what materials do you use to mark you airport; runway, taxiways, gates, etc THANKS
For materials this video of mine should help you out: th-cam.com/video/UilfGyneGrI/w-d-xo.html and board wise it's around 2.6 meters in length and .9m width wise. Although I'm not 100% sure. If you want something the size of this you'll need to join board together like I've done as it's pretty much impossible to get MDF board cut at this length and width
Thanks mate! European airlines are definitely on the list in the future but at this stage I'm not planning on going to purchase any. There's a few models in future releases I'd like to grab which are a lot rarer. Hope you can understand and thanks for your suggestion :)
I have some questions and and requests. First why do you have so many Los Angeles flights? It's not the only big city in the US. Second why does KLM operate flights not from their hub nor on KLM Asia's network. My requests are that you get a Westjet 767-300, and a Klm cityhopper of any type. Also if possible the Big Bus Air Canada A330-300 would probably be a neat model.
Essentially the situation with my airport is similar to one like Melbourne. Melbourne has 3 flights that operate to America all being to LAX, if you heard I do have a flight or two to New York as well but currently it isn't feasible for the airlines to complete flights to other destinations. From LAX they are given the option of jumping on an A320, 737 etc and flying to the smaller airports. As for KLM I purchased all these models minus the 5 new ones before I began the London Hybrid Fictional so some models are out of place yet I make them work. I'm happy to welcome suggestions but I'm not planning on getting any other models other than the ones I mentioned in this video. Thanks though.
Purchased the R2-D2 from eBay mate :) However, keep checking myhobbyhouse.com they have it pop up on their store quite often but I believe now at least it is Out of Stock.
Wow! Really like the airport! I was wondering if we could maybe do a codeshare with my model airport but i dont have planes related to yours. I think the closest i have to any of ur planes is an American old livery 767-200. I did have a Qantas 747 round flight from Sydney but it discontinued. My airport is called Easue (pronounced Asoe, code FASO) and is based in Africa. Plz see if any of ur planes can go to my airport. Thx.
I doubt the model shop you purchased it from would take it back as it was a problem with the manufacturing. I would suggest keeping it and staying away from Gemini Jets A320's as most are tail heavy.
There's no exact measurement. Best advice I can give is place a 777 down on the centre line and then create a box around it etc that will allow enough space for the wings.

I loved this realistic and large update. I agree with you- the new Icelandair 757 80 years looks phenomenal. Looking forward to episode 21.
Great video buddy! Real love the new additions to the family!
Thanks so much! They are stunning models ;-) happy to welcome them also to the ever growing family of models.
your airport looks better and better! I love the extension part, really nice work. I wish you best of luck with your school, you've said it absolutely correctly. In such situations you have to set priorities, I had to do this multiple times as well some time ago. Just keep going like this!

Finally for the long awaited video! I love your airport, also great commentary :)
Thanks a bunch!
Great, love your model Airport, enjoyed it:)
Airport looks great. Extension very nicely done. Spotting area is a big bonus. Glad you found that wheel:) I think your airport updates are at good intervals. Hope your school work goes well!
Thanks so much for that! I am also rather relieved ;)

Cheers mate! I thought it might be something cool to include in the future :-) as for the design of it I don't really have an idea yet but I'll decide closer to the day of getting the materials.

I lobe your models and your airport and your videos.
Good one! I wish I could see a Lufthansa A321 on the London (DJ) - Hamburg route in real life... Did get very boring after all routes were transfered to Eurowings! Good old times when LH used to fly LHR-HAM with the 737!

It's been a while! Love the little flybe, excellent video as usual! Is the loading thing fro the Etihad Cargo a Herpa 1:500?
Also, I dropped You an email a couple of days back :)
That's perfectly fine! Glad you're taking school as priority, it is most important for future!
Sadly yes :/ wish it wasn't but it has to be at the stage I'm at.
damn man! your airport looks amazing! i think we should do a route or something haha like the klm 744? awesome to see you started the terminal buildings. Liked
Thanks mate! When the entire airport + extension is complete I will be starting a subscriber based series.
Wow you are making a website. When should it be complete? Best channel on youtube!
Early stages of creating one mate :-) I don't really want to set a completion date just yet because I might run over the due date etc. Thanks so much for your kind words.
Awesome airport update and a6-edg

Amazing update as always and good job on your extension. I was wondering if you could tell me where you got the Flybe purple livery dash 8 please.
Thanks mate, I think it was the aircraftmodelstore.com but I am honestly not 100% sure.

Thanks mate! European airlines are definitely on the list in the future but at this stage I'm not planning on going to purchase any. There's a few models in future releases I'd like to grab which are a lot rarer. Hope you can understand and thanks for your suggestion :)

Holy crap! Well to start off, I watched the whole thing, but second of all, what material is your board? Thanks
Thanks mate, it's MDF board.
Great Airport i reale like the Hekla Auora
Thank you! It's one awesome livery to say the least!
I have some questions and and requests. First why do you have so many Los Angeles flights? It's not the only big city in the US. Oh ok I understand. The Air Canada and west jets are my final recommendations.
I have an Air Canada 787-8 in the New Livery currently being shipped.
May I ask where did you get the R2-D2¨
I love him in star wars, and I love the plane.
Would be awesome to get it :D
Purchased the R2-D2 from eBay mate :) However, keep checking myhobbyhouse.com they have it pop up on their store quite often but I believe now at least it is Out of Stock.
Awesome video as allways! Cheers :)
Thanks mate!
No problem :)
Can I please use some of your airport model footage in my Aviation Community video? If yes, can you please comment in the entry video
very good
Thank you Oliwier!
Do you do routes with other channels? If so, can we have a route on the american 777?
When the entire airport + extension is complete I will be starting a subscriber based series.
Dj's Aviation ok, thanks!
Nice AA B777 - 300ER
Thx.
Hey DJs aviation its emirates fan 414 I've seen the new livery of air Canada what u doing with Etihad 787 plane
Hi! I am keeping the Etihad 787 :)
Where did you the mini cars?
I just bought a tail heavy Allegiant A320... Should I try and sell it back?
I doubt the model shop you purchased it from would take it back as it was a problem with the manufacturing. I would suggest keeping it and staying away from Gemini Jets A320's as most are tail heavy.
Get me a shrink ray quick I want to go to that viewing spot when it's done
Haahhah!
Hi I'm a fan
Can u pls tell me the measurements for your 777 gates as I want to make them on my airport
There's no exact measurement. Best advice I can give is place a 777 down on the centre line and then create a box around it etc that will allow enough space for the wings.
How much would an 1:400 airport cost
Depends on what materials you want to get, size, amount of terminals etc
Also the aircraft, most Gemini Jets aircraft range from 30-60 US dollars
i need some of these models haha
Can you retract or remove the landing gear?
Unfortunately no.
Dj's Aviation *lip smack* dang
