I loved this! I've been watching McDanno videos a lot lately. It's nice to see one that extends into Season 2's near end. I also love that it is one of the longer videos I've seen. Great choices in clips from the episodes.
One of the best portrait male friendships on tv. Loyalty, respect and self secrivice. Like Sam and Frodo. In mine opinion Hawaï 5-0 and the Resident and tv series like them are beneficial for raising children and i love them as an adult. Sure its exciting, every episode is an New adventure, but it shows the human relationship between close friends, parent child, respect towards women, female co-workers and love interest are like. The women are strong, smart and capable but they have back up from the male protagonist. No one is portrayed as inferior. No one is portrayed as weak when they need help. Men are saving their friends, male or female but the woman is never just a densel in destress. The romantic relationships are equal and respectful. When Steve was sexual atracted towards what appeared to be his co worker and love interest it was not portrayed as a bad thing. After all she is intelligent and assertive. She can stand on her own two feet. Danny shows his struggle as a divorced man who loves his daughter more than everyone. I wish that he was my father. Hawai 5-0 gives the protagonist time to breathe. Danny has his emotional vulnerable moments occasionally without being labeled as weak. They are the most bad ass the most team on the planet and a icon for healthy masculinity. Perfect show. When I have children, especially when I have sons I will watch whit them LOTR, Hawaii 5-0, Harry Potter all over again. Can’t wait to meet my husband like Steve or Danny. I want to raise my future children as good people who are confident and responsible and respectful to everyone and loyal to their loved ones. To become good friends and spouses and parents. Altruistic people who stand their ground and let no one take advantage of them. Who are accountable for their actions and do the right thing.
