    Thank you for your brilliant video I now look forward to each one. Your voice is very relaxing and I love looking at your progress, it’s encouraging me. Since your last video I ordered the Nurge frame and got it yesterday. It’s a game changer so thank you. Its so much lighter than the Qsnap. I’m really enjoying it. Love the introduction of wool crafts too. Happy stitching. See you in two weeks.

      Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! So glad you like the Nurge hoops, they are lighter and easier to hold. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my other hobbies 🧶 Have a great week and happy stitching! 😊

    Hi Lara! I think you did an amazing job on your strawberry…the details you added to the topper were just the right touch, and the stitching itself was just beautiful. 💙 Thank you for another great video. I really enjoyed seeing your crocheted ponchos, too; love the vibrant colors! Although my mother and sister were excellent crocheters, I have had very limited success with it, and can’t seem to keep my tension even, and that causes me lots of tension! 🤣 So, I will continue to admire crochet and knitting from afar! Thank for sharing your work with us.
    Have a great week! 🧶🧵🪡

      Thank you so much! I learned to knit first so I struggled with tensioning my crochet for a long time. A few years ago, I took a class on Craftsy called Startup Library: Crochet by Salena Baca. That really helped me with all the issues I was having with tension and uneven edges. Have a great week and happy stitching! 💙

    Your berry turned out beautiful! You did an excellent job on your first one. I also really liked both of your ponchos. The fall one is so pretty but the blue one is my favorite. I too, am a crocheter. Cross stitch and crochet are my two of my favorite crafts.

    I just found your flosstube channel and had to watch this one twice so I could take some notes. Thank you for sharing your experience making the nativity berry. It turned out beautifully and now I am less intimidated to try to make one, too. I also appreciated the information on the benefits of using DMC floche and the various hoops you find work well. Your ponchos are so cute and it’s fun to see what you are crocheting. Besides stitching, I knit and spin and sometimes crochet so the additional inspiration is wonderful. ❤

      That’s great, thank you for letting me know! I was worried about showing my other hobbies since it’s mainly about cross stitch but I am finding so many others enjoy seeing the other crafts. The berry was so fun to make! I would definitely recommend Helen D’s video that I linked. It’s worth watching before you start to get an idea of how it’s done and it makes it less intimidating. Happy Stitching! ❤️

    Beautiful Berry. I have never made one of those before, but I think they are sweet. Your snowman project is adorable! Love snowmen.
    I am a knitter. I always have a knitting project going. I do like to crochet, too, but I am not that good at it. I did just get a really cute crochet shawl pattern that I am thinking about trying. Both of your ponchos are beautiful and they look so soft and drape well. And I have never heard of crab stitch. I will have to check that out. Thank you for sharing all of your hoop and scroll likes and dislikes, too.

      You’re welcome, happy to share! Since I learned to knit first, I struggled keeping tension and having neat edges with crochet. I bought a Nurg hoop....the number 3. I wasn't impressed with it until I turned it around. What I mean by that is I put the piece you tighten the fabric with underneath. I love it now. I intend to buy the number 2. I tend to like smaller hoops better than the larger ones. Love your berry. I've been thinking about making one but haven't gotten up the courage yet!! LOL Maybe one day.

    Your berry is absolutely beautiful, both the stitching and the finishing. This berry is the first one that has really tempted me. Your poncho in the vintage colorway is gorgeous as is the denim. I am just trying to get back into crochet after a several year hiatus due to the arthritis in my hands. I purchased some ergo crochet hooks and am trying to make a dish scrubbie as well as a leaf shawl but haven't done much crocheting as stitching always seems to call me, although I may have to try more crocheting at the moment since my left thumb arthritis is really acting up and I am wearing an ulnar gutter splint to try to get it calmed down. I really enjoy your floss tubes and look forward to them very much. Thank you for sharing your take on the floche and I am looking forward to your floss tube extra comparing all the different threads. Happy crafting.

      Thank you so much! It is hard to make time for all of our hobbies 😊 I get pain in my wrist if I crochet too much. I have found compression gloves or wrist supports help. I hope your thumb pain subsides and you are able to get back to stitching. Thanks for watching! 💖

    Hi, I enjoyed the hoop review, I have been looking at nurge, but have not purchased any yet :). I love to knit socks and shawls, socks are my favorite, I do magic loop method, knitting 2 at a time, I am a little paticular, I like my socks to match, I also quilt, and I love it.

    • @textilly
      @textilly  ปีที่แล้ว

      I love knitting socks also but I haven’t tried magic loop and doing 2 at a time. So far, my favorite method is using the 9 inch circulars. I agree about the matching, I makes notes about where to start the stripe or just cast on at the same time 😀

    I shipped to the uk. You have to fill out a customs form. Idk if you can do that online. It wasn’t hard though. Just the time to do it. Congratulations to the winners. I loved hearing more about floche and the different hoops. My current fav is qsnap. The berry is lovely.

    The strawberry looks like you have finished a lot of them already…wow. Like you, I am choosing the smaller Nurge hoop for ease of arm motion and reduced strain. I also find it doesn’t leave marks on the work if you move the hoop off after every stitch session.

    Your berry finish turned out great! Love it, I haven’t seen that one before. I have stated buying the quaker charts too😊. I just need to get the calendar box. The first time I saw it on Sarah’s Flosstube I just had to stitch it lol. Please let me know what count fabric she used if you find out. Another great video! Hope you are staying cool, the heat has made it miserable here.

    Great video. I don't journal or keep a book of days, but I do just jot down (in a small weekly spread calendar) what I worked on by name and note if I finish or FFO something. I use it for all my crafts-cross stitch, quilting, knotting and crochet.

    Hi Laura, great video. I am older and have always used a hoop for cross-stitch, enjoy my Morgan and Nurge hoops but larger ones bother my hand. Have been looking on line at Nurge lap/table stand and wondered if you have heard anything good or bad about it? Also I’m not sure if my brain would adjust to a stand. Thoughts? Happy stitching!

    • @textilly
      @textilly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I didn’t know Nurge made a lap stand, I’ll have to look into! I love my Lowery stand that allows for any hoop, like Nurge or Morgan and even the thicker Q-snaps. I’m always interested in seeing what other stands are available so I’ll have to check it out. 😀

    • @cherylbond2641

      @@textilly I sit at the table to stitch because I have dogs that would be into everything so thought table top stand I might adapt to better, but everyone seems to love their Lower’s. Might have to rethink this.
