    Thank you SO much for this! I recently ordered beads and a crochet hook for my lace shawl im working on, only to find out that the hook is ever so slightly larger than the holes on the bead so I was looking for an economical solution that would fit any bead, and I came across your video! Thank you so much for this solution, it really helped me!!

    So clever! This method has the advantage that you can see the bead from both sides of the work! Thank you, Maryna 😀

      Thank you, Sally :-) Not all patterns will show the bead on the wrong side of the work, but if you are making a fine cobweb-like lace, the bead will be visible on both sides of the fabric. Happy knitting!

    Thank you for this video, it answered my question... If you don't have a crochet hook, how do you add a bead. Again, thank you!

    Would You be willing to do more beaded knitting videos in the future? I love the look of the whole pattern being formed from beads, but find replicating the technique very tricky.

      Hi Leva. It is always better to find a pattern you like and follow the instructions in that pattern. You can easily substitute other beading techniques with the one described in this tutorial and knit any project with any bead design on it. Happy knitting :-)

    Hi!
    Not related to this video but I was wondering if you could make a tutorial for entrelac knitting?
    Personally, I know how to to it flat and in the round, but maybe some of your viewers don't know about it.
    Specifically, I would like to know how I can work in the round (like on the body of a sweater) and in the middle of my knitti g switch to entrelac, and attach it to the rounds seamlessly after I'm done.
    I don't like to seam my garments so I'm looking for an elegant solution to this problem that I can implement in the round.
    P. S.
    The thing I want to make is this:

    Thank you!

      Thank you for the suggestion. Entrelac is a very interesting technique and the project you picked is truly gorgeous. Because designers often adjust techniques to fit their needs, it is always better to follow the pattern instructions to a tee to understand how the designer used entrelac to make such a gorgeous detail at the front of the sweater. There are so many talented designers out there and they help us learn something new with every project we make. Happy knitting, my friend :-)

    Don’t have wire? Buy a pack of dental floss threaders. Cheap usually 10 in a pack and they act like the wire but they are plastic. They don’t break easily. I’ve had the same pack for years. You also can put the bead on before the stitch is worked if you are not decreasing.

    • @10rowsaday
      @10rowsaday  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the suggestion. Dental floss is a viable option, but because wire is more stiff it is usually easier to thread a bead on a piece of wire than a piece of floss. Of course, it all depends on the size of beads and on a knitter's personal preference. Happy knitting, my friend!

    Could you please tell me the brand of wire that you used? Thank you.

    • @10rowsaday
      @10rowsaday  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used Knitca knitting wire in the blue colour, but any wire in gauge 30 will work for making the threading tool. Happy knitting :-)
