Just like u can modify your car because u own it u can do it for ur iphone but if u have insurance on it that u pay monthly it gets void because in the insurance claim for lost/stolen/misplaced/ accidental damage or otherwise u cannot modify your iphone in any way so ur contract is voided and all that money is lost ...

@@Skill002 it's really easy on Android, you just have to widen the hole for the jack, use a similarly sized female usb c and have to use some jumper wires. You can apply this on any micro usb device. I Changed on my headphones and power Bank too

Beautiful work, except one thing. Always test a phone before sealing it. You never know what stupid little thing can go wrong to ruin a project you’ve worked so hard on.

The sad part about this video is that this guy went to all that extensive development and work to implement something I have had on my Samsung Note 9 for 45 months now. I wonder if he can figure out how to implement pencil support, as I also have an integrated stylus on my Note 9 as well. This is an amazing technician and engineer fixing issues that shouldn’t exit.

It'd be nice, and they know themselves they are capable of it. But they want to make more money from the lightning connectors. Not sure if you knew this but theres actually a tax for 3rd party lightning port chargers. And people are more used to lightning port, also long time apple users will probably prefer it.

@@supersop1367 because it is actually a good standard and also it is spreaded further than Lighting so it is easier to get Accessories for the Device you are using and also even has to give the Lighting Connector because EU fucked Apple to so.
Plus Apple is using USB C in many of their Devices too 😂

@@tld8102 no it cannot, that's why apple is unsuccessful in making a good fast charging technology, apple's phones use 5V USB PD standard, most fast chargers use their own standards that run on 10-12-20 volts. And if you try to plug iphone in a 65w oppo charger it will charge at 15-20w, these chargers are smart, they communicate with the phone continuously, they just don't pump power as they wish, recently realme showed 150w charger, which has PD, QC and vooc standards. And can charge any phone or laptop with type C charging.

It will be the same, the actual controller needs to be changed by Apple for speed gains
The controller only is USB 2.0, no matter what connection you use.

USB-C is very unlikely to break unless your just careless and unlike lightning it supports higher data transfers and charging speeds.
