This video is exactly what I needed, thank you for putting it out there.
I found myself in the same situation, just getting beat up using fencing pliers to cut high tensile wire for trellises. Doing research to try and decide if the Knipex cutters are worth the money, I am sold.

I find a pair of heavy duty end cutters are better at demolishing fences than those standard type fencing pliers we have all had.
The end cutters will pull staples and cut wire without changing your grip (don’t confuse end cutters with pinchers).

Thanks for the video, I have just bought a set of the Knipex bolt / wire cutters 71 02 200 with soft grips on the back of seeing you cut the wire with them - impressive. Great content ! 👍

Knipex cutters are quite a tool. I started building a crap ton of HT fence last year. Before I started I did a ton of research and found them early on, I have the pair with the spring and it is nice but don't let it get wet because it'll rust badly. I tested all my tools before I started building fence, I still recall how impressed I was with the strength and toughness of the 12g wire. The only thing I had that would cut it was a pair of fencing pliers and the shock from those things killed my wrists and hands after every cut. I just happened to buy another pair of cutters that do a nice job cutting the 12g HT but I can't recall the name of them, have blue handles...I think they are Klein or Channellock 10.5's. They'll cut right along with the Knipex and the side cutter config will let you cut a little closer than the mini-bolt cutter style cutters. I use both and like both. I just finished building several thousand feet with fiberglass posts. Love HT fence...I even kind of enjoy building it.

With experience you will not need the spring - been fencing 60 years - with many types of fencing pliers - Knipex is now my preferred cutters, I have all the models - the high leverage end cutters and the cutters you demonstrated are my number one pliers.

Knipex makes excellent pliers! Them and Channellock pliers is all I use.

Have been considering building hi- tensile fence , nice to know that my tried and true fencing pliers may not be right for the job .

I build a lot of high tensile fence. I own the tekton mini bolt cutters, several different fencing pliers, the harbor freight mini bolt cutters and the knipex 8" and 10" cutters. By far the best are the knipex. Like you said, well worth the money. I prefer the 10". Tekton and cheapos from tractor supply dull too quickly.

tekton mini bolt/wire cutters work the same for ten bucks. 12ga wire is no joke. The fence pliers are mainly for tear down in my experience, the best ones have an actual hammer shaped head on them, rather than the usual form. Thanks for sharing.

Those work good also from Tractor Supply.

Go for the spring in the Knipex. Big thick handles to. I cut latch chain with mine, they are unstoppable.

Fence pliers are like a swiss army knife, they do a lot of things but nun of them very well. The cutters are German and you pronounce the ''k''. good video thanx for sharing

I second the knives bolt cutters for barbed wire fencing. I have 3 pair. I’m thinking about getting another pair with the spring.

I don’t hold them like that - yet they open easily- definitely no blisters - don’t abuse them by cutting hardened ss screws!

Blisters will turn into calluses-so hang in their brother lol.
And yes, you can call them "nip-ex" or "ka-nip-ex" mini bolt cutters.
