Thanks so much for showing us how to make mahl stick! You’re easy to watch, you’re delightful n funny, being true to yourself n to us as to who you are!! Love you girl!! 👍😊
That was an impact driver that you were using, not a drill. The impact driver takes bits specially made to click in and a drill has a chuck that tightens down on the drill bit. Since you help with painting, I thought I would return the favor. I hope that helps. Love the channel. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for this! I also had to laugh so much haha! Never use scissors meant for fabric for something else 😅 And trying to use that drill just made my sunday! Guess you had a bit of a laugh yourself too Nevertheless, thanks!!! 😊
Thank you for such a helpful video. For the future, not just with art but any household repairs…that’s not a drill it’s an impact driver. Subtle difference but a difference nonetheless, though most time you can get away with using either or interchangeably. Drivers are generally for things like screws and bolts. whereas drills are for creating holes. Though that’s not why the drilling a hole didn’t work. It didn’t work because you have a masonry drilling bit which is only ever used on stone/brick/concrete. So that drill bit is no good on wood or anything that isn’t essentially a rock. A standard drill bit for wood or metal would work fine. Also another viewer already said this but using masking tape works wonders. Especially for wood, but not just for drilling. Masking tape is great for sawing too. So if you ever have housework that requires drilling or sawing, I hope this comment helps you the way your video helped me.
Hi HD Thanks for this constructon and idea! I love this video because it's also full of humor😉 Note : You are a skilled artist and for my sake, Would you like to make longer videos that can inspire us mediocre performers :)
I prefer that YOU choose some motifs you like. I am simply fascinated by your craftsmanship and artistic expression, which I find incredibly inspiring :)
a few thoughts about drill bits. I wonder if the drill would work better with the ball compressed and a smaller bit.. but then it'd probably be harder to judge how big the hole would be when you let go.. maybe a spur tip bit would be better. Also, sometimes when you're drilling in to softer material, it helps to cover the surface in masking tape to avoid tear-out.. probably wouldn't work on foam but might be worth a shot. That drill bit you used looked like it was a masonry bit, so probably not the best choice. all in all-- scissors seem like the safest bet lol, but it'd be interesting to do some testing to figure out if a drill could work better.
Thank you for your helpful comment! I am going to have to try using masking tape next time, never would have thought if that! I just used the biggest drill bit I could find in the tool box 🤣 obviously not the way to go 😂😂
Thank you for your presentation. I do believe that you do not have terribly dull scissors. You have right handed scissors on a left handed person. Please treat yourself to a pair of lefthanded scissors.

Thanks, great video. And nicely explained without being repetitive or boring.
I used a broom handle from the dollar tree instead of a dowel stick. Great vid
They also sell plungers that have wooden handles you can get for a shorter mahl stick.
That was so helpful, thank you. I need one but I nearly fell over when I saw the price of them at the art shop!
You are very welcome ♥️ the price of them is a little shocking 🤯

So glad you enjoyed it!
2 free yardsticks glued together and a foam ball works great! The flat yardstick is more comfortable than a dowel
That works, for me I found the round dowel easier to hold for long periods of time! I guess it comes down to personal preference.
Just try the flat and your hand won't get as tired. I use it sign painting

A dowl and a swimming noodle works well too
Sweet tip
Thanks for doing this. I made one using your directions and it's so helpful!
I am so glad you were able to make one! Hopefully it helps make painting more comfortable!!
Perfect - thank you!
You are welcome!!
Can u tell me Your new one wood sizes ? 1.20 cm?

Your drill is an impact, ment for screwdriver bits, not drill bits
It was definitely not the right tool for the job!
This was tortuous, like having to watch the party of a recipe that drones on about remembering grandma's meatloaf.
Come to Islam n success
