Diving the Cut - Whytecliff Park

  • Checking out the plumose gardens - giant plumose anemones - in Whytecliff Park, near Vancouver, Canada. Maximum depth about 100 feet. Buddies were Alan (videographer) and Dave.

    Thanks for the comments - I'm so glad you liked it. We were out there again on the weekend and visibility was amazing. And there are always lots of divers around who are happy to share their experiences (and pictures). Cheers

    I'm glad to hear that you're interested in checking the Gardens out. They cover a range of depth from about 40 feet to 80. I suggest entering from the bay side of Whytecliff with an experienced diver who knows the area. I definitely would not suggest entering at the Cut - current and drop off make that an option for more experienced divers only. A number of dive companies do outings at Whyecliff on a regular basis and on most weekends. If you need some contacts please let me know. Dive safely,

    Thanks for the great vid! I can't wait to go to Whytecliff in two weeks. It is great to see these videos and pictures so I can get an idea what it will be like. How deep are the Plumose Gardens? Any tips for diving here? I am a pretty novice diver. Thanks!
