  • Many fans are calling Conor "washed" ahead of his fight with Chandler at UFC 303. Here I break down all of his professional losses and explain how this narrative just isn't true. From his loss to Diaz which he avenged, to his loss against a Hall of Famer and potential GOAT in Khabib Nurmagomedov, and ending with his two losses to Dustin Porier, I break down why none of these losses are huge blemishes on his resume. These are respectable and understandable losses against tough competition. Conor isn't losing to cans/unranked fighters, he's losing to the best in the world. A true washed fighter is Tony Ferguson, and Conor just isn't on that low of a level

Finally someone who actually analyses a fighters performances in context when discussing their decline instead of calling them washed. Conor isn't washed he is just fighting much tougher competition against guys his own size or even slightly bigger than him. Not mention that the game has changed in regards to some of the attacks people go for. Having a wide karate stance will always make him susceptible to calf kicks. People just didn't kick calfs back when he was on top.
