It's not like Fallon did not already know the british accent story; the writers behind talk shows serve the very purpose to make a scripted talk sound like a real conversation where stories and anecdotes flow naturally. So both Fallon and Criss knew what they were going to talk about and what was going to be asked, in which order, etc...

I once pretended to be British to my teacher and this went on for a week. When he She asked me We’re I was From I said ‘Puerto Rico’. In my normal non British voice. This shook her to the core as my friends laughed

Stan Watt Britain is a place, the people who live there have accents. I’d say British accents clearly seem to exist (although there’s many regional accents, Darren’s is a very specific one)

Lol, yeah I feel like it's a good thing that I've been a fan of his for many years now, and know what a total sweetheart he seems like in real life- if I was just coming to know him from ACS Versace I'd probably be SO freaked out xD Even as it is, it throws me so much how freaked out I get by him as Cunanan! As an English person from London, I can confirm that his accent was pretty spot on. I would be genuinely convinced if he spoke to me! Also, I always enjoyed AVPM and Glee but once I started watching The Assassination of Gianni Versace it just corroborated Darren's brilliance. If he doesn't win all of the awards I will be... shocked and upset. I am repulsed by Andrew yet somewhat feel sorry for him simultaneously. I'm excitedly anticipating the rest of the season.

My best friend and i were at a water park. We were being followed by this older guy, so we talked in irish accents to get rid of him. And it worked.
He was soooo good in Versace that it was almost uncomfortable cuz I was so creeped out by his Cunanan character. He deserves an Emmy. Brilliant acting.
