Mel C screaming “YES I SWEAR!” @ 3:08 always gives me LIFE. My fav part of the song.
😁
Yes!! 😄
That makes the two of us.
lmfaooo yesss
Mel C was killing it @ the end of song
Spice Girls were so iconic. Someone take me back to those days 😭
For realz. When we all "played" spice girls with our pals and the only thing that you wanted in your stocking that year was sparkly butterfly clips and lipsmackers.
Someone take me back to your bedroom
Shoot if you going back I’m coming with you those times were so much cooler and people were actually enjoying themselves I think it’s because no technology was involved and people actually communicated
Amen
I can take u if u want
This song popped into my head randomly after not hearing it in probably two decades, and I STILL get chills when Mel C starts belting it at the end. That woman has some major pipes -- they all do. Probably my favorite Spice Girls song. Nothing beats an old 90s nostalgia trip.
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSS I SWEEEEARRRRRRR
That's your brain, your brain requires good music, so eventually it will pop some random lyrics and you need to find them
@@darkshadowx07 mel b is the black girl any white boy would want to be with
Geri's vocals are pretty weak here. Or maybe I'm just not a fan of her tempo.
@@joeridgechua I disagree. G's vocal were always sultry n sassy like it's bedside singing, so 2 speak.
Mel B's dancing is everything in this video. These ladies were so confident and sassy!
Do you think this group has the potential to be the next Spice Girls? th-cam.com/video/w0HLzKGcYtU/w-d-xo.html
Agreed! Mel B (Scary Spice) jiggles nicely! :-)
Well she is from Leeds we find it hard to be not cool asf 😂

Those girls were like Sailor moon. The world was at their feet! Spice girls was a mouvement not just a group.
& a Girl Power movement!
we need another group like them today
I guess the Sailor Moon girls didn't have the world at their feet. 🤭
yes:
Serena: Baby Spice
Amy: Scary Spice
Lita: Sporty Spice
Rei: Ginger Spice
Mina: Posh Spice
I literally just came here from a sailor moon video woo synchronicity
I love how all the ladies shared the vocals unlike a lot of other groups....there is great harmony in that
I just love them, as they get older there music will get better.
Spice Girls did it backstreet boys did it both are still around, coincidence?
I agree. It was fun trying to figure out who sang what part.
@anthony Chavez they are still alive but no longer as a boy fan. But there are still fan from orders then the younger.
Was bout to say the same thing. Didn't know it back then, but listening to this song again just made me realize how cool that was that they each took turns singing.
Man, i want to go back to the 90's and relive my youth...
Absolutely. I was in high school when this song came out. Brings back loads of memories. No smart phones, no internet. Just amazing times.
This is dead ass one of the best pop songs of the last 50 years. Sure I'm biased as a 90s kid but it does not get better than this. Girl Power!!

I MISS THE 90'S SO MUCH!!!!
💯 ❤ I've been Nolstagic lately and loving watching these music videos. Girl Power forever 🎉
25 YEARS! I remember watching this video for the first time on MTV on a Saturday morning in the living room of my old house with family all the way back in 1996! 🤯 I miss the '90s! My favorite Spice Girls song 🙌❤
I knew of the Spice Girls back then in the 90s but never listened. Now I’m discovering them and I’m impressed.
This video is the epitome of the 90’s. I always wanted to parade around in platforms like they did.

Back when MTV didn’t suck.
I felt this comment

Stereotype busted!
She’s the prettiest.

@@preppyclouds3283 so?? If you didn’t know MelB and Geri are bi lol. MelB confirmed it. Everyone knew it anyway.
When they sing the chorus together.....
My God The Voices sound Heaven!!
1:38 Not gonna lie, this scene is my gay awakening as a child.
I listened to them as a kid. As an adult now, I finally realize how much of a smokeshow scary spice is. She has so much charisma while performing and a great voice!
Spice Girls were every girls role model in my first grade class we look up to them💕🥲
Yeah for real. I liked Baby Spice back in '97(I was 11) but now watching it 25 years later, scary and sporty def had it😁
They were all smoke shows really. But Baby and Ginger spice wow. They are fire
Best vocal is still Mel C.

I love the girls, cheers 😀🍾🍷🇩🇪
Mel C voice at the end give me such a nostalgic and good feeling.. I can't explain it. Simply amazing
Same!! She was always my favorite! I always played sports. And then when i learned she had a substance abuse problem and got sober (allegedly) i loved and related to her even more!! I really am grateful i was born in the 80s&was a kid in the 90s.

Jocelyn Hines Yup. I had whole collection of spice Girls.. Scary spice &,baby was my favorite. My sister says "Sporty spice her hero"

Everyone goes on about Victoria, but that little red head's part in the second verse just kills it for me.
OF COURSEEEE💖 The way she sings is magicaaaal
Mel C absolutely slays this towards the end with her vocals over the chorus
I will forever be thankful that I grew up in the 90s. Spice Girls forever!!!
They had real talent!
Mel C killed the ending chorus!
I’m a 2006 kid and nearly 18 and, as great as my childhood was, I wish I was born earlier to experience the Spice Girls
I was 13 when this song came out... I liked Wannabe but wasn't a huge fan. When say you'll be there came out, I watched the video before even knowing who they were and that they were the same girls who sang wannabe... We didn't have social media or anything.. instantly fell in love with them and with this song. When I eventually found out it was the spice girls and knew that they had released wannabe before say you'll be there I was like oh my gooood these girls are on fire. I rushed to buy the album and I remember instantly falling in love with it and I'm in braxil... They were HUGE, like proper HUGE... it was the best era of pip music... It wasn't sexualized... It wasn't about looking like a porn star... It was 100% about having fun and oh my god it was so much fun... Nothing compares to the 90s... Pop music will never hit its peak like in the 90s for me... And the spice girls were literally like the queens of planet earth they dominated the radio, the news... MTV... Everything was about the spice girls it was like living in spice world. Just fabulous.
I am a rock and roll and blues guy, but these girls were fucking awesome. It is pop music, but full of qualities, good arrengements and great vocals, filled with different personalities. Glad I saw them blow up the music world.
Just the first seconds of the instrumental in the beginning is so nostalgic and iconic

Thankyou!!! I come to watch this video for that bit alone, I can’t explain it but it’s like captured in time. It just oozes 90s and youth.
I can’t believe 25 years have passed… this video was so ahead of its time. I was 7, and Spice Girls had absolutely blown my mind. 🤩❤️

Check out the frame at 1 min 22 seconds. Look to the left of Mel B Scary. The car, Emma near front and POSH is flying in the air above the back of the car! Maybe for "Any fool could see I'm falling (I've Fallen)" So bizarre!

I was nine. Little girl pwr, sisters.
I loved this song instantly when I first heard it at the time of its single release. I think its infectious melody, beat, and production can hook any ear. It's their best song, and it possesses a timeless appeal. It could be released today and sound fresh.
Well done, Ladies!
I still remember seeing this on MTV as a little kid, growing up in LA. life was so much simpler back then
Personally I think this is their best song. Not presented as goofy as their previous videos and the song overall had great harmonization and beat to it.
This is my favourite of theirs.
Yup!! I strongly agree !!
It's the only Spice Girls song that I like
Tbm acho que é a melhor música 💞💞💞

Nothing says the 90's more than the Spice Girls.
well I am a guy but I do like some songs of Backstreet Boys, N Sync, BlackStreet
So many great memories, when life was simple and happy! Iconic Spice Girls, forever!
Spice Girls are not just about the music, they were symbolic, their chemistry on stage and during interviews made me the outgoing person I am today. Only true fans will understand this.
how old were they at that time?
@@KimAhrina11 early twenties late teens.

Thats cuz they can all sing solos
Hands down my favorite Spice Girls song. I sing this song at least once a day at work

Say you'll be there
I'm, giving you everything
All that joy can bring, this I swear
Last time, that we had this conversation
I decided we should be friends, hey
But now, we're going 'round in circles
Tell me will this deja vu never end, oh
Now you tell me that you've fallen in love
Well I never ever thought that would be, eh
This time, you gotta take it easy
Throwing far too much emotions at me
But any fool can see they're falling
I gotta make you understand
I'm, giving you everything
All that joy can bring, this I swear
I give you everything
And, all that I want from you
Is the promise you, will be there
Say you will be there, yeah
Oow, say you will be there
Won't you sing it with me?
If you, put two and two together
You will see what our friendship is for, oh
If you, can't work this equation
Then I guess I'll have to show you the door
There is no need to say you love me
It would be better left unsaid
I'm (I'm)
Giving you everything (I give you everything)
All that joy can bring (all that joy can bring)
This I swear (yes I swear)
And (and)
All that I want from you (all I want from you)
Is the promise you (is the promise you)
Will be there
Yeah, I want you
Any fool can see they're falling
I gotta make you understand
I'll give you everything on this I swear
Just promise you'll always be there
I'm, giving you everything (I'm giving you everything)
All that joy can bring (all that joy can bring)
This I swear (yes I swear)
And, all that I want from you (all that I want from you)
Is the promise you (want you to promise too)
Will be there (always be there)
I'm, giving you everything (I'm giving you everything)
All that joy can bring (all that joy can bring)
This I swear (yes I swear)
And, all that I want from you (all that I want from you)
Is the promise you (want you to promise too)
Will be there (always be there)
I'm, giving you everything (I'm giving you everything)
All that joy can bring (all that joy can bring)
This I swear (yes I swear)
And, all that I want from you (all that I want from you)

This song will always remind me of watching MTV in the afternoon with my cousins, when we would spend time at our grandparents house during the summer. I can vividly remember watching this video for the first time (I’d heard the song on the radio, but had never seen the music video). It was even more of a treat because my grandpa would always own the biggest “big screen tv” which was quite uncommon at the time. We were eating pepperoni hot pockets from Schwan’s, and drinking cold Cokes (that my grandma ALWAYS kept in stock) cooling off after playing and skateboarding outside in the Oklahoma humid summer heat. One of my favorites memories.
They onwed the world during the mid to late 90s, it really was a Spice World.
Baby spice ahead of her time wearing the blue latex gloves. 2020 coronavirus fashion.

Sporty spice was always so underrated in terms of her voice and her beauty. I would go as far to say she had the best voice and most attractive out of the 5
For sure

Sem vulgaridade nem apelação...só talento, harmonia e carisma...coisas em falta hoje em dia!
Tenho pena da atual geração!
Im a metal head for almost 30 years now, but this song brings me so many beutiful memories!!
It's amazing how well this song was produced.
You know, just look at the comments.
The melody, the arrangements, the progression, the synthesized bass, the introduction with voices in the background and a vinyl sound, the keyboard riff, everything made this music something that carried in itself a certain melancholy and nostalgia of the 90s, not only because it was made in 1996, but because it had all those structural elements that built that "soul" within it. It's as even if the song had been made in 2019, it would still be nostalgic carrying a 90's spirit.
Curious as this is not even the musical genre I usually listen to, but this song is probably my favorite. I can remember the exactly moment I first heard it. Even a child could see that it was something unique.
(sorry my english)
Singer Jon B help write this song that is why I love it
Well Jon B cowrote it and he's a well known R&B Soul singer so I'm not surprised
you're so right
So well put together 💯👍🏿👍🏿🙂❤
its amazing how fresh this song still feels todays
To be honest All of the Spice girls sound fresh AF
The beat and structure of the song is unironically brilliant. Held up well imo.
Today is my birthday and they're still my go to group. I still love them, I'm damn near 30 years old and they still help me jump out of my seat. I'm sad that I never got to see them (mom wouldn't let me go and wouldn't come with me lol). They'll be my forever favourites!!! My fond childhood memories and I'm grateful that all I have to do is just play one of their songs and I'm right back to where I was!!
Don't worry I am 57 and thought they were crap till I bought the CD in the 90's and realised they could sing. Playing "say you will be there" now. Victoria is my favourite I do like Emma as well. Weird they are in there 40's and I am still listening 😂
