Thank you so very much for this wonderful tutorial! I will be making a brain hat for my hubby and me to wear at the March for Science in April. THANKS AGAIN - YOU'RE AWESOME!
Can hardly wait to make this hat for my son for the March for Science! So relieved to find this since I don't knit and this looks very doable for my skill level. Thank you so much!
Working on a brain hat myself but I am doing it more anatomically correct. I did the rope different as well. You can also use a sewing ham if you do not have a Styrofoam head. Interesting to see how someone else would do it. Love your videos!
I'm definitely a fan. Love your work and it's so easy to follow. I've looked at a bunch of your videos, and have so many ideas from watching your work. The nice accent helps too. :)
well seeing as how you love grey, & brains are 'grey', I can't believe you didn't use grey! LOL however, pink's my fav, so points! :D Love that you share so much, TY! love love love making the projects!! sending hugs alllll the way from Kentucky!!
Last night I watched NOVA on PBS and brains were the subject. You can make an Einstein brain! LOL Do a Search of the Internet for pictures of a brain. Just pictured a question mark ? on top of the hat (in a different color - as an I-cord pom pom thingy) Clare, so fun!!
you can use whatever yarn you like. i most likely used dk/8ply or worsted/10ply and you would use the hook size recommended by your yarn. the hat is just a basic hat pattern. and the icord can be made with the same hook
You did not put any video links in the video. You point to parts in the screen and no video appears. It has me very lost and now I am unsure of how to actually make anything.
I don't knit... this is the perfect March for Science hat for crocheters!!!
yes that's a great idea

Love the hat - going to make it for Science March. What size hook and weight yarn do you recommend for the I cord? I want mine to look like yours.
I'd say it looks like a mediumish weight yarn? I'm curious to know too--I'd love to try and make one as well!
