@mikedavies4387 yes I probably could. But it's all swings and roundabouts the way trucks are going at the moment it is sort of nice to know this is on a lease and if anything goes wrong it is paid for even if it does take a while. So I'm going to stick with it for another 3 years
A month for a gearbox! A few years ago when the new MANs tgx's I think they were we had a fleet of tippers,Cordwallis next to Heathrow 🇬🇧 used to change them overnight all under warranty because there was a fault with the synchromesh between 6th and 7th gears. Hope you didn't have to pay for it yourself
Vern .. Would you ever get a Euro Scania or a Volvo FH series ,, Bruce Wilson .. as you well know has imported a Scania 770 .. albeiet a low cab etc .. Surely reliability might be better Than that "rattlin peace of crap at your side door come on" lol .... ( officer Lyle Wallace) lol .
@jimboy124 not unless they start selling the long lines over here, I've got used to walking to my bed not falling to it 🙃, I'm pretty sure Bruce Wilson can't run that truck for work purposes 🤔 at the moment, probably only for shows filming, A new vehicle has to go through full Scrutoning over here before it can be put on the road and sold, and because these vehicles haven't been manufactured over here( all manufactured for the USA Market) then their becomes problems because their VIN numbers are different to the US configuration, I stumbled across this problem when I first moved over here because I was thinking about importing my VW T5, but I quickly found out VW t5's were never manufactured over here so I could bring it over but then I'd have to pull it all apart within 6 months basically get a DOT inspection on every part then put it back together pay huge amounts of income tax and still not guaranteed they would accept it, all wait till it's over 25 years then it's a classic and it can come in for free a bit like me an 'old classic'
Should of got a Volvo bud yank build is shocking compared to euro truck s see scania has arrived av8 770 show the yanks how to pull and go up hills ope u back on the rd
@@richardabley7178 Volvo's a very overpriced over here. And they are the worst out of all manufacturers for only being able to go to a certified Volvo garage to get it serviced or anything done to it
