I REMEMBER THIS GAME! Oh man, it feels like _forever_ since I first saw the Teaser. I mean, it kinda looks *_frustrating_* ...but I'm gonna play it anyway *:)*
Between endless replays of heavily modded XCOM 2 I love checking out other little turn-based games. Just finished Mutant Year Zero (beautiful, decent gameplay if a bit too limited in options, but too expensive right now) and currently playing Rebel Cops right now (great price but pretty tedious, could use some significant UI improvements). I'll definitely keep an eye out for this in the hopes that it gets a few content updates.
Its really not that hard once you get into it. Honestly I never had any flaws with this game and I love the random encounters. Makes it unique everytime you start a new game.
This has some bad advice; traveling further isn't the best option. You can also restart a level by pressing ESC - some levels may seem impossible but are fine if you grasp the mechanics. It's an easy game.

I remember when the question was asked as to what sort of new video content people'd like. I said long-form videos. And I do stand by that. I find there aren't enough deep dissections of things around, so would love some, say, TotalBiscuit-styled things with high quality to fill that painful, gaping void. These are scarcely more useful than a good Steam review and the game's trailer - but that's still quite useful, as good steam reviews can be hard to find or trust, and it saves me a bunch of time. And, of course it means you can do more of them. These are great. Thanks for doing them. You've managed to cover multiple games I've had my eye on and multiple games I had no idea about. Hard to get more useful than that. Cheers. And I love the writing and presentation. Very impressed with KC.

The Joy of Gaming series isn't really what I'm looking for, as it's not informative in any topical way. I also had some issues with the first episode, personally. But it's still welcome in its way.
Can't help but feel like this game would have benefited from being a linear story driven game rather than a rogue like. With rogue likes, there needs to be plenty of opportunity to "out-play" the bad RNG you get, but not sure that you'll find that with the mechanics you're given in Overland.
I liked those enemy designs a lot in X-Com and StarCraft. Not such a fan of them here. Really, though, art is iterative; nothing wrong with being, uh... thoroughly inspired by chrysalids or zerg. Though I genuinely think they simplified things too poorly in their designs. They should've used the simplification to highlight big pincers, teeth, and claws. Instead, everything looks dull and blends into a lump of black, save weird glowy feathery bits which... what even are those? They don't make the enemies look dangerous; they make them look like peacocks. Which, peacocks are mean, but still. If I've got a moderately-sized stick, I'm unafraid of them.
I think 3MR has cemented itself as one of my favourite thinga on the Escapist.
Glad to hear it! I personally love covering such a wide range of indie titles so it's nice to see people support the series.

The gameplay is okay. It’s a very addictive game
This series is so great, just a quick little review short enough to fit in between whatever, but long enough to get all the essentials across.

Yup, almost always. Only one we couldn't do that for was Rebel Galaxy cause it was licensed music.

Seems alot like death road to canada but with the gameplay segments being more based on turn-based strategy games.

If you don’t use all of your gas as soon as you get it, you can move slowly and save up gas which will give you the choice to skip “unbeatable maps “

This is a $10 game. They are not budging from bringing it down from $20 price tag.
