I absolutely love how much pride all the working men take in their work. Being able to build homes with electrical, plumbing, gardening, raised terraces, etc - all the edible greenery and stones. Nature can be hard to work with manually and they've made it look easy and so utterly beautiful. They've crafted an oasis with their hands. Much love. I'm here for this all day!

Whoever has not travelled away from Africa is the only one who can think Africa is ugly but to we who travelled even to america we end up saying God thanks to Africa no contnent beautiful than Africa
Why do people think this is so strange? Some of the happiest and healthiest people live on farms and homesteads. We, in America, don’t recognize enough of the hard work and sacrifice our rural communities put in to keep us fed. This lifestyle isn’t for everyone because of the hard work and little appreciation given yet it’s absolutely necessary for a functioning society. Shout out to everyone across the globe who sacrifice certain “comforts” for a loving and devoted family life❤️
I had the pleasure of meeting Selina while I was in Kenya evaluating projects for regenerative farming in september, a beautiful woman and a real leader in her community and in the world wide movement to regenerative farming and sustainable living. Looking forward to visiting their project in april when we return to Kenya to establish several complimentary programs, one in Narok as well. WHat an inspiring story that gives us all hope that Africa is gaining great momentum in the permaculture movement!
Hi Robbie thanks for your comment. Parmaculture is not a new concept in Africa, it is the way people have always planted crops since time in history. What's new in Africa is the monoculture, GMO, and commercial farming. There is so much the world can learn from Africa, but somehow the world is convinced it is Africa that should be learning. Come to Africa prepared to unlearn and learn.

this is so significant, because, unlike previous imperial interference, the locals are able to learn new techniques and incorporate them as they see fit... most important is that they can improvise their local traditions, like how they build, with new ideas that may benefit the community, without destroying any of the indiginous ways and wisdoms... this is TRUE and ETHICAL progress in preparation for the changes climate will bring

I love the big jeeps. Those are cool . What gorgeous teeth these ladies have. I wonder if it’s something in their diet. That’s a huge homestead. I wish them much happiness!
The environment itself after transformation it's very very nice good job
Totally 💯
this is so significant, because, unlike previous imperial interference, the locals are able to learn new techniques and incorporate them as they see fit... most important is that they can improvise their local traditions, like how they build, with new ideas that may benefit the community, without destroying any of the indiginous ways and wisdoms... this is TRUE and ETHICAL progress in preparation for the changes climate will bring
These techniques are not new to Africa -- neither the building with earth, nor the permaculture farming.
Absolutely, these are indigenous African techniques. African Grandma technology and science passed down thousands of generations
She is beautiful and kind its great what she's doing for her village.
Truly
