- Harry was sending a message to Prince Charles when he released a statement saying the King was too busy to meet him during a recent Uk trip, a Royal expert has said.
Speaking on the Sun's show Royal Exclusive, Newsweek's Chief Royal Correspondent Jack Royston said the fact that Harry didn't 'put the boot in' could be a message to the King.

I think this was a deliberate ploy by the King so as not to give legitimacy to the Nigerian tour. With regard to the Invictus Games, I’m afraid Meghan’s clothes and what she wears and does is top priority for the press, not sadly, the Veterans. Can you imagine what would happen if a high-ranking member of the Royal Family turned up? The press would go crazy and the Games would be side-lined even more than it is now.

Harry refused to allow Camilla to be at a meeting between him and his father. He also wanted to appear as if he was carrying a message from the king to Nigeria. King Charles did not want to accept either of these things.

The Invictus Games is a fabulous project. It is NEVER mentioned that William had a hand in it to begin with. Harry had many individuals doing some of the work as well. It is now NOT a Royal venture. I do think King Charles could have attended the service. NOT to support Harry, but to support the men and women who are veterans. I would have chosen to sit in the back had I been King Charles and wanted to attend. But please do not be delusional in that all is forgiven or that the King and Prince William should be the first to cave in. Not happening.
