Hey Sara..Thank You so much for your kind comment. It means so much to me coming from a fellow groomer..I think your awesome too..We have a radio show called Groomer Humor, that we post once a week, and we gave you a special shout out..We just taped it today, and it should be out in about a week..We will post it when we get it.The episode is called .."The Professionals" ..Please look for it,because your kind comment inspired the episode..Thanks again..Keep On Grooming..LOL.
Can I comment on you saying they have an undercoat....I always understood that Maltese don’t have one and that therefore they don’t shed.?? You’re very kind to her by the way. Explanations are very clearly put. Thanks 🙏
This is by far the best grooming video I have ever seen. Everything was done gently but thoroughly and the dog showed no signs of discomfort. You are an amazing Groomer!
I'm going to start grooming as a side business and I'm learning so much from you! Thank you so much for being the groomer I aspire to be! You're just the sweetest guy to these fur babies! 💜🐕
Kim Holmes...Wow!!! This is by far one of the nicest comments I have ever received ..Thank You so,so much! Good Luck with your grooming business,I'm sure you are going to make a lot of pups, and people very happy..Please let us know your progress..Thank you so much again...
Today I graduated a grooming academy for becoming a bather - brusher n I studied before n during taking the class n it really helped thank u so much 💯💯💯💯
To make sure that I'm not just brushing the top layer of the coat I like to brush in separate sections . I part the hair to the skin and lift the rest of the coat out of the way so I can brush more efficiently.
Hi! Awesome video. Thank you!!!! Helped me a lot. Next thing I would like to learn would be which could be the best face style for maltese that is fed with veterinary advised home cook food, in order to maintain his face the cleanest as possible. 🙏 Please and thank you 🙏
I watched a lot of your videos. They are very informative and you explain the process very well. I used to groom my dog every once in a while, but now I have to do it more often, because the groomers around book 2-3 months ahead. I have a rescue Havanese mix from Mexico. She looks very much like Snoopy, but does not like grooming. 😂 thank you!
Great video !! You cover and explain everything we need to know patiently, always considering the Maltese also !! You should have( and deserve ), many more subscribers 😁 Thanks for sharing
Beautiful! I have a full blooded Maltese named Willie. I have been grooming him at home lately and I love watching videos so I can get grooming tips. My Willie is almost 9 so he has had lots of grooming throughout his life time too and behaves just as well as Bianca. Only thing is I use a soft wooden pin brush on him since he has no undercoat. We leave him in a long so knots are a challenge, I do the same things you do to get them out.
@@GroomingByRudy You're welcome. I enjoyed it. I would love to see a video on grooming a long Maltese. One thing I struggle with is how to separate the fur so I don't cut the skirt while trimming the legs. Also the tips on trimming the sanitary areas. I kind of leave mine in what I call a long puppy cut.
Thanks so much! I have a 10 year old Maltese/Poodle mix (rescue), and as she has gotten older...has developed several little wart like things on her back. Is there a particular type of brush that you'd suggest? I'm afraid of scraping the top of a wart, and causing irritation. Thanks!
@@rockyraaacoon I needed a gentle touch, and didn't want to use a slicker on her at all. I had an old soft tooth plastic comb that I ended up using frequently on her....and that seemed to work best. It was just as much a 'user' thing....than a 'product' thing though. I think it would have been an issue with even the plastic comb, if I just blindly combed her with it. I needed to be slow and very careful regardless of what I was using - I think that was just as important as anything! Since I did it frequently...matting wasn't an issue. If you are having issues....good luck to you! 💜
This is so helpful! I just got a Maltipoo (Maltese/poodle) and he just turned 3 months and he's really energetic so grooming him and everything gets a little frantic. Any advice??
The hose is connected to a dryer arm, that claps on to a surface at the base.It rotates, and stays where ever you point it..I think it is made by ..Edemco..not a 100% sure though..Thank You for watching.
My maltichon has been fired from 4 groomers because he HATES being groomed! I am learning to groom him at home but he is impossible with a slicker brush! We both end up in tears! He is a wonderful, loving dog but he becomes so aggressive when I groom him! His front legs and paws are the worse. It's been a year and he hates it as much as he did the day I started.😢
I have been grooming for over ten years and I think you are awesome! More groomers should be like you.

Hello what is the comb you are using? I have a doggie just like her and I really want to groom him the right way
It is called a Greyhound comb,or a double edged comb

Wow! I always learn so much. I totally will approach my Shih Tzu's brush out with this technique. Um. I'm guessing this method works on a Shih Tzu???
Shih tzu and Maltese coats are super similar, so it should be fine. I use the same brush technique on my standard poodle.
For sure,same technique..Thanks For watching..
