    Additional Notes (which apparently the video editor dropped on the floor🙄) (the video editor is me, folks):
    - The thread size for the leg levelers (and hence the tap size needed to clear them out) is 3/8"-16
    - On older games (1990's and earlier), the side rails CAN be more difficult to remove. On some games they are held on with double sided tape, and on others, twist nails. It's still doable, but not quite as fast and easy.

    Yes I agree the Rush really took it to another level so much so that I do not like the premium artwork without the red powder coating, Nice job

    Great video, always wondered what steps it took to do this

    One BIG question: 🙋‍♂️
    Whaddya do once you find the color swatch/name? Do you just tell the powder coater, or, do you order the paint/powder (I’ve no clue about this, obviously) from that site & give it to the coater? 👀
    If so, how much do we need to buy? You’d be really helping THIS slob a LOT by letting me know. 😄 Seriously, I’m itching to do this. 🙏✌️

      I’ve done it both ways - just give them the exact name of the color, or order the powder yourself. Note the Illusion series of colors are two-part. You need the color itself, and then also “Clear Vision” which goes on top. 1lb of each should be sufficient to do this project. Easiest is to just let the powdercoating shop take care of buying the powder though, they may even have the more popular ones in stock. Good luck with your project!!

      @@abpinball If WAY more creators responded to questions like you have here, YT would be a much better place. THANK you for that! I’ve been so confused about this (I’m a relatively new owner, but not player). I’ve got my JP Premium en route for delivery and cannot WAIT to start ‘beautifying’ that bad boy. 😅

    Well delivered tutorial, I was wondering what was involved in removal of the side rails. No heat gun needed - cool. The colored powder coating definitely pops & if I do it, I think I'll go with green on my GZ. Does the original black have to be stripped off before application of 🎉the new color coating? I've already spent a great deal on upgrades, lights & mods for my GZ, can you please share the total cost of a powder coating job like this including the separately purchased coating? Thanks much. Thanks! Yes, the black needs to be stripped first, but the majority of shops that do powdercoating are also able to do the prep work which typically involves sandblasting. The cost will vary greatly depending on where you live, but is still substantially cheaper than purchasing pre-done parts online. My advice is to get quotes from at least 2-3 shops - it's another reason to do it locally, you'll get a better/more accurate price if they can see them in person first.

    Very nice video, where did you get the T molding from. Are there multiple sizes?

      @abpinball  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Kelly! I bought it from t-molding dot com via their eBay store, if you search for “t-molding” on eBay you will find it quite easily. And yes there are two different sizes, you want the 3/4” size for this application. Thanks for watching and good luck with your project!

    Very stunning color and great tutorial!
    I know Stern doesn't powdercoat the coin door, but I have a friend with a Simpsons Pinball Party where the trim, coin door, AND the elevated wire-forms are all powdered coated a light green (looks better than it sounds!). I'm curious if you considered doing those as well? For what it's worth, they've held up extremely well, even with countless pinballs flowing over them.

      Powdercoating is tough stuff! Way more durable than paint. There were games in the 90's that came with factory powdercoated wireform ramps - Data East's Turtles comes to mind. Personally I prefer the coin door in factory black, but that's the cool thing about doing it yourself - you can customize to your liking and get exactly the look you prefer! Thanks for watching!

    Could you possibly list the part numbers of those 9 parts and where you purchased them! Thanks!
