Unfortunately, my thread keeps jamming in the feed dogs and I have to keep stopping, lifting the plate and unclogging the thread. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I haven't tried it yet. I'm going to today. I'll let you know how it goes. Try calling your local sewing store that sells this type of machine and maybe they can help you?

Well, I've been working with it for two days now. I haven't had a problem. I wish I could give you some insight. All I can say is "have you tried re-threading"? I'm sure you probably have. Is your bobbin OK? I'm sorry it's giving you trouble. That's so frustrating! Yes, given the information that you live in NYC, that wouldn't be so easy as to hop over to the local store. :-(
