Anduin has been forced to be things he is not. A pacifist and a diplomat, forced to lead his people in a world war. A paragon of good, possessed to serve evil in a plot to destroy reality. And yet his spirit remains: he has negotiated the first ever lasting peace with the Horde and continues to perform literal miracles with the Light despite his doubts.
I don’t believe he is a pacifist. Desiring peace and being pacifist are two different things. A pacifist seeks to avoid conflict at any and all cost, this can and often includes the allowance of evil so long as a confrontation can be avoided. A peaceful individual will seek to act in the preservation of peace, and if that peace is lost, the restoration of it. They, and Anduin, understand that peace can only be achieved and/or preserved so long as there exists those willing to fight for it. You were right that he was not himself, but it was because he was trying to be his father, a warrior that others rely upon for strength, rather than himself, a leader who empowers his followers and subjects to reach their own strength and seeks the good in others for potential allies.
When his father died, he was choose to become what he was meant to be. Just earlier and more one than expected. Conflicted being who he was and who he's becoming shadows his decisions on how he should not only lead his people but honor his father.
I just want to remind everyone that Anduin-this is the only known being in the history of Warcraft who was able to escape from the control of Domination Magic, the only one. Even Zovaal himself just learned how to control this magic while still being bound by it. This speaks to Anduin's incredible willpower.

What's even more awesome for me is though out the expansion, the music plays but never reaches its peak till Anduin realises he is not lost, such good musical story telling
“What am I supposed to do now….?” “What a KING. Must do” “It’s only now I understand what my father meant by that letter….you must be willing to fight to preserve peace. I kept trying to be him…”
Varian Wrynn: My son. This blade does not belong to darkness. It was forged in valor. Varok Saurfang: And, in honor. Varian: Its legacy, and ours, are with you... Even here. Varok: Now... Let it be finished.
There should be a joke about Anduin's two fathers here. Varian Wrynn: Wait a minute, what are you doing here? This is my son! Varok Saurfang: He is my son too, I lost mine! Varian: No, seriously, this is my son, look at his face and mine, we look alike!
I may be a Horde player through and through, but I will admit that Anduin has some fantastic musical themes. Great work on capturing the latest take on his theme (as well as adding your own unique flare to it!) :D
Just an fyi, the music that starts at :45 is awful. Not because the music is bad, but because the overlay doesn't match. Whatever is behind it is seriously messing up what is in front of it. The rest, good stuff.
Redemption from what lol he didn't do anything bad besides (not mortally) stabbing some blue chick to collect her gem. He's just sad he got mind controlled and the modern writers are making it seem like a big thing when nothing of note actually happened

@@Captain_Razor_88 He was a pacifist, that's kind of the point of OP. He has been forced to not be one by a world that refuses to stop fighting.

Even as Horde Stan since 20 years you cannot deny that Anduin is a mvp.
