That's more about the notion of the free market as part of the capitalist system, the good part of it. You have to compete for people's money and create things they need and want, because if you don't you'll go out of business.
A lot of the game industry's problems could be solved if gamers became less addicted to just consume - sadly, this will not happen because of two valid reasons. 1. No one should tell you what you can spend your own hard-earned money on. 2. Everyone is entitled to enjoy whatever product they want. That said, same thing could be said of drugs - and we have legalities in place to protect people from themselves.... gamers may just have made it a necessity to put laws into place, to protect them from themselves. I don't like the idea of government intervention.... but hell, if the industry should get better, it may absolutely be necessary.

To be honest, the entire reason that Ubisoft and other game companies are failing is mainly to do with the DEI hiring practices. If you don't hire the best then you won't produce the best. That will then reflect in your sales. Obviously injecting the DEI into their games has influence too. I don't know why that's not obvious to companies. The entertainment industry started it and it later made its way into games.

They're so disconnected from reality
because characters like that need to be somehow offesive to someone or take risks, take TF2 for example, other them maybe Soldier (very improbable even) you would hardly get any of the other character the way they are, only if you make some changes like: Scout would need to up the ascent be black and reduce his mannerism or be a minority and or a woman Medic would need to stop being a stereotype crazy german doctor with heavy german ascent (because would offend german and doctor) so need to be a genious probably pro free health care and a minority or a woman Same for Heavy his phd can't be butt of a joke and probably not too russian or a parody and probably need to be more pro communism and also a minority or a woman Demoman can't be black because there is too much "negative" types from alchooholic, too violent and explosives (baduntss) and have a disability that only is used for a joke, he would need to remove all that and the disability being his character, but would be too plain so you can mantain all that and just make it white and maybe ugly Sniper is not too offesive, but is a figured based on masculinity and a guy find it's own way to achive it, so maybe change it to be a woman who struggles agaisnt masculine types because she is strong and indpendent with is less offensive Pyro is too problematic, yes he has ambiguity with is very "hip with the kids" but is a character using a toxic style, linked to war, warcrimes and psychosis, even if you remove the mental problem from it's probably bi or trans non offesive persona link any of this to them is a nono just scrap it Same for Spy he is a masculine type and linked to toxic maculinity idea of a "bond spy" and also kinda warmongering, so probably change it for something more modern like a actvist hacker or a noble hacker and to remove the toxicity make it a minority and or a woman

In some weird way, Money doesn't discriminate. Does it make money, then more of it. If it doesn't, get rid of it. Nothing else cares.
I wish this was always the case, in a positive and not in a "corrupted" way.
The funding behind "the message" is like 15 trillion dollars of capital.

To be honest, the entire reason that Ubisoft and other game companies are failing is mainly to do with the DEI hiring practices. If you don't hire the best then you won't produce the best. That will then reflect in your sales. Obviously injecting the DEI into their games has influence too. I don't know why that's not obvious to companies. because characters like that need to be somehow offesive to someone or take risks, take TF2 for example, other them maybe Soldier (very improbable even) you would hardly get any of the other character the way they are, only if you make some changes like:
Scout would need to up the ascent be black and reduce his mannerism or be a minority and or a woman
Medic would need to stop being a stereotype crazy german doctor with heavy german ascent (because would offend german and doctor) so need to be a genious probably pro free health care and a minority or a woman
Same for Heavy his phd can't be butt of a joke and probably not too russian or a parody and probably need to be more pro communism and also a minority or a woman
Demoman can't be black because there is too much "negative" types from alchooholic, too violent and explosives (baduntss) and have a disability that only is used for a joke, he would need to remove all that and the disability being his character, but would be too plain so you can mantain all that and just make it white and maybe ugly
Sniper is not too offesive, but is a figured based on masculinity and a guy find it's own way to achive it, so maybe change it to be a woman who struggles agaisnt masculine types because she is strong and indpendent with is less offensive
Pyro is too problematic, yes he has ambiguity with is very "hip with the kids" but is a character using a toxic style, linked to war, warcrimes and psychosis, even if you remove the mental problem from it's probably bi or trans non offesive persona link any of this to them is a nono just scrap it
Same for Spy he is a masculine type and linked to toxic maculinity idea of a "bond spy" and also kinda warmongering, so probably change it for something more modern like a actvist hacker or a noble hacker and to remove the toxicity make it a minority and or a woman
