    looks like Bosla on a good day, LOL. You're ripping on that board. Yew!!!!
    Can't wait to try it, soon I hope.

      @@ThomyeSurfs what size do you think you'll try? I'm torn if I want to go performance size or target catching anything and everything size (and just forget about getting the Moe mini I've been waiting on, lol). Also curious how it would stack against my White Tiger if I go somewhere in the middle.

      Thanks mate. Haha I've def seen it pretty sick at your local - this spot ain't too far from there.
      You're gonna seek and destroy the board when ya get it. Esp since you like the Mashup - it's an easier to cruise and fuller version of it. Funny how this board kinda creates a new niche in their quiver lineup - more performance than SP2 and Seaside. But def still more groveley than Mashup.

      @thomyesurfs shout out to a fellow Bolsa charger haha! It was like a small fun skatepark last week with the short period W in the water. The warm water has the rays out in full force though.

    I'd like to see the same basic shape, but a pin tail - just make it longer - like 6'4" - 6'6".
    I don't want to throw the tail around. Just a mini longboard for cruising. - 40-44L

    • @TravisVarga
      @TravisVarga  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      That shape sounds awesome. That's basically the 6'4 Sunday you're describing as well - which was my 'next board' before I tried the 5'10 Machadocado. Ideally I'd have both lol but I'm making do with a Mashup and Twinsman for now. Can never have too many boards but your bank account gets upset at you..
      I haven't gotten to try the Sunday yet though - the Hypto Krypto is kinda the shape your saying too - and now they have the Big Baron version which is what you're describing. These are twin fins though - the tri fin model doesnt seem as popular in that shape. Thanks for the comment!

      Noice I’m always keen on some copyright free tunes - I tend to use my own stuff mostly (all the music in this video was made by me and last projects) but great to have a bigger well of jams to scoop from.
      I checked out some of y’all’s stuff and it’s cool - well done and I subscribed. Maybe you’ll hear something in a future video. Thanks!

    I have the Sweet Potato 2 board. In 5’2 @ 31 liters it rips!!! Rode it two times!! Sweet Potato 2 is deee ultimate groveler!!!
    But when it comes to PERFORMANCE Machadocado All Day!!! I couldn’t take it anymore with all this Machadocado talk on line/ Social Media and in the Line up with my local beach ripper friends. I just had to get one already. I don’t even ride my sweet potato anymore!!! And it’s still brand new 😢 waste of money 💴 I really wish here in Hawaii, we had demo days like you folks in the mainland. I taken my Machadocado out on crappy days like your video session and I took it out this past big south side swell with all of that energy from Tahiti. Well over head to double overhead on the sets and bro 😎 the speed rail to rail tacking is INSANE and RIPPING that thing is Next Level. Cheat Code for sure. Wait till you surf it on Bigger Days. I’m telling you!!! I rock the Machadocado 5’2 in helium Construction @ 25.9 liters. I’m 5’7 155 - 160 Lbs. Fins Machadocado two plus one new set up. Hope this helps anyone out there on the fence about buying!!!! Because I tooo, understand the expense of purchasing boards, that could make it or break it 😅 I’d say I can and will post my sweet potato two 5’2 for sale on Facebook Marketplace even though I only rode it twice!!! The board rips! And grovels amazing!!! But something about the Machadocado speed and rail to rail game makes you stick out on the beach to where all my lifeguard buddies had to share about my ripping and how they were watching me surf and that my friends! Is a great feeling Yeeeeee! 🤙🏽 😎 🏄🏽‍♂️ 🌎 🏝️

      And I loved this review wayyyyyyyy better than your first Machadocado review. That’s when I still was on the fence of purchasing the Machadocado. Great board review bro 🤙🏽 but you need to give it a chance on better surf, you seem to like the Mashup, but this out performs the Mashup by far…
      And my reason for commenting? Is to help those along the way! With deciding!!! I read the comments with Surf N Show Noel Sallas / with Thomye Surf and the comments is where it’s at! That’s where it helped me with board selections in the past….
      Like Thomye said before! Would be nice if FireWire threw out some boards his way for sponsorship and for him riding all their latest and greatest gear, but we all know! That ain’t happening! Greedy Basturds 💴 Haha Yeeeee 🤙🏽

      I believe everything you say about the board weapon Smaller waves. Except i dont believe you surfing big over head to double powerful waves on the cado having fun only Rob Machado could maybe do that 😂 you'll be much better and more confident on a Slater FRK round tail get in way faster in big waves, Cado would just get hung up boards to wide to short and fat to make a mad sideways drop 😮

    • @TravisVarga
      @TravisVarga  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the dialogue here. I'd have to agree - and why the 'one board quiver' is a kinda a myth. But the Machadocado is certainly a great daily driver, and the FRK fitting in nicely as a 'step up.' Cheers!

      @TravisVarga  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JM-pf5qc Hey really appreciate the input. Yes I agree the comments are where its at for decision making.
      I still have yet to ride the SP2 but its on my list. I'd kinda think it would ride like a Biscuit (which i didn't much like) for some reason but we'll see. That's awesome your having success with it and I'm sure you will sell the board soon.
      Haha yea this video was much better I agree. If i could go back in time I'd get this instead of the Mashup, but having both would be ideal. I'd just longboard if it's 1-2 ft. Anything thigh high and up Machadocado all day. Def wanna shred in bigger, real good surf. The Mashup has more rocker and can handle steep drops kinda well - this would struggle more I think. Both are sick. I like the helium alot now.

  • @leighrosendahl2734
    @leighrosendahl2734 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Nice! Got the SP2 also fun for those small days. Now I wanna see the Machadocado at the top end of it's wave range! Do you think you could have gone smaller on this board? Cheers!

    • @TravisVarga
      @TravisVarga  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Awesome, I still need to shred the SP2. Ridden similar boards but not that one in particular. I would guess the Machadocado surfs a bit better and more high performance, with a slight loss in its grovel abilities (as the size-liter dimensions of looking at each model side by side suggests).
      I could have went with the 5'8 - but Id still go 5'10 all day. I like the extra float by the noise for paddling and I'm use to higher volume boards. Id go 'bigger' on this one if your between two sizes as it's intended purpose is to grovel in the pocket. It's not as 'boaty' as the Seaside or SP2 - so you don't have to worry as much about over-sizing it.
      Thanks for the comment. Let me know if you end up scooping one.

  • @SoNJFF
    @SoNJFF 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    I recently got a Seaside (6'0" and 45ltr) and it works well in our waves. I live in So New Jersey and our normal waves (except when completely flat) are pretty much like the ones you are on for this vid. You know knee-to-waist. I really like the Seaside but it is a bit clunky, do you think the Machadocado is better groveler than Seaside? BTW, I am 6'0"/195lbs and an intermediate level surfer.

    • @TravisVarga
      @TravisVarga  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Awesome thanks for the comment. Haha I'm well aware of East Coast waves (growing up in Virginia and North Carolina). This would be a pretty fun day right haha.
      The 6'0 Seaside will 'grovel' a bit better then the 6'0 Machadocao (which is 40L) in terms of riding the smallest waves possible. But the Machadocado will let you surf it more in the pocket, top to bottom, like a typical shortboard would.
      I hear the main complaints on the Seaside (only ridden the 5'10 for a session) being it wants to go down the line, but has trouble pivoting off it's tail with the quad setup - and having to be 'so far back' to engage for turns. So what you are saying makes sense, and the Machadocado would perform more how you would want. If you want the same length, you are going to lost 5 liters. And for your size, weight and skill - I do think going up to a 6'2 Machadocado would actually be the right move. It will be a bit longer, but it will end up being a better groveler cause you'll gain a few liters also.
      If you're richie rich, the other option is to find a 6ft Machadocado and keep the Seaside. Then you have the Machadocado when it's a little bigger and you can shred it more and hone your skills as you progress. And the Seaside for when it's even smaller, mushier, and you're feeling lazy.
      I prefer tri fins and twins to quads, so the Machadocado suits my surfing better. The Seaside is a trusted fan favorite, so if it's at least working good for now don't get rid of it. Try moving your back foot back a bit and really pushing on the back of the board. Also try it with a twin fin to loosen it up.

    How do you compare this to the SP2?

    • @TravisVarga
      @TravisVarga  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'd reckon better in the pocket - with the ability to pivot more and surf top to bottom better. More high performance and less groveley..but still surfs small waves good enough as the video shows.

  • @jpdocumentary
    @jpdocumentary 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Have you tried the m-cado on 3-5ft waves? Too much volume for larger waves?

    • @TravisVarga
      @TravisVarga  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment. I’ve used it in around 3 ft waves another session. I’d say it works fine up until 6ft-ish. So great for 3-5ft.
      It’s grovels but can def hold nicely in the pocket. It has more hold than his twin fins. If you put a set of Large tri fins in it will prob hold decent if the waves are bigger.

    can you ride bigger waves with this board?

    • @TravisVarga
      @TravisVarga  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven't had the chance to try. I think it has enough going on in the tail and nose to 'maintain' itself on a bigger wave and not feel out of control. It's ideal size of waves are prob like in this video to 5/6 ft.
