Absolutely precious video, dear Lady Hawk! Thank you! I have been hoping to see their first face-to-face interaction. This season, the "bonus" is that we also get to see UQ chick so frequently, and this video shows that he and NTF may clack at each other, but he is now allowing her to visit rather peacefully, with quiet-time together before she paddles on over to check out Manaaki's nest. Sweet! Now that the "ice is broken" perhaps we will see some more companionable visits and "teatime" chick-chats between NTF/UQ and NTF/Manaaki. NTF is getting some excellent paddle-waddle workouts, tramping up and down the slope. ✨✨💗💗💗✨✨

When I saw you mentioned the tiara in this videos description I thought that her feathers were going to be sticking up and I never found it, so now it makes more sense, that’s so adorable!! 🥰😍🥰, she’s a very pretty ‘Tross 😁. Lady Hawk, do the males build play nests? Manaaki does a lot of gardening but doesn't seem to be building a play nest. Maybe it's just the females that build them? NTF sure is sassy little girl. I'll bet her play nest is a work of art! It's fun to see the interactions between the kids.
Hi Katydid both the males and females build their play nests. It is interesting to see but some chicks are really excellent nest builders which could make a brand new nest look like two adults did it and then others just pull up grass and move it all around 😂There was a play nest that one chick built in a previous season (not a Royalcam chick) that was amazing! I will try and look for it and attach it here for you to see!!
