    Well that is pretty hilarious! Every time I stamp a box, I wonder if it will ever show up again. Glad it went to you and you managed to notice before you got it home. That is part of my intention with the markings and the stamp. Not only to protect myself from re-searching the same boxes over and over but also to help other coin roll hunters to not waste their time! Glad it was you and thanks so much for the shout out!

      I'm definitely happy I thought to look before I took the box and had her swap out some rolls. It would have been a very short video and pretty awful hunt if I was just looking through 50 rolls you'd already searched!!

    Bank of Guyana? I thought I was watching a Canadian roll hunt LOL. Never found any coinage from that country. Super nice mix of dimes with plenty of keepers, a CRHers dream. Another great hunt James, even with a previously searched box from the start.

      @CADRollHunter 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's definitely my first from Guyana - I guess you just never know what you might find in a box. I always wonder how some of those foreigns get in there - but I'll take it!

      Thanks, Alrik - I really like the design of that schooner under sail. It's like you can see it whipping across the water. Definite contrast with the normal design with the boat on calm waters.

    When there are lots of 1968s in a box that stick to a magnet, it's almost guaranteed to be another roll hunter's dump.
    I also found quite a few of the 2021 non-coloured dimes with the cool waves. ....all in excellent condition

    • @CADRollHunter
      @CADRollHunter ปีที่แล้ว

      That's often the case, especially if there are lots in a particular roll. But I always check them - just in case! You never know what another collector might have let slip through! Thanks so much for watching!

    • @jpbonhomme5051
      @jpbonhomme5051 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CADRollHunter I'm with you on that one. I had a box like that. Most rolls had at least 3 or 4 1968s.
      I hit a silver though...1965.
      Either the box had rolls from multiple sources or a collector missed it.
      You process thousands of coins and you can easily miss the occasional silver.

    I like watching your channel but I wanna know if you have a list of all the Canadian coins to look for? I keep seeing some sites saying the 1969 large date is over 10K and other sites saying few bucks?... that’s why I wanted to see if you have a list made up

    • @CADRollHunter
      @CADRollHunter 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. The two resources I use regarding Canadian errors and varieties are the Charlton Standard Guide of Canadian Coins (physical book), and the price guide on coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php
      Regarding the 1969 large date dime, it's definitely over 10,000 in both of these reputable resources, even in very circulated condition. I've never seen it listed anywhere else for only a few dollars. But if you see one for sale at that price - grab it!

    Which bank in Canada do you use? Like would TD, RBC, etc do this? And do you have to call ahead and order them or do they just have boxes around?

    • @CADRollHunter
      @CADRollHunter ปีที่แล้ว

      I bank at a couple of the large banks, but every branch is different. I don't order anything in advance, just pick up what they have.

    So you know if all 3 circulation 2021dims are in the bank rolls?

    • @CADRollHunter
      @CADRollHunter 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are bank rolls with a mix of the colour and non-colour with the Bluenose under sail. I'm assuming there are bank rolls with the traditional design and the double date. I'd suspect they aren't as low mintage, but I don't know for sure!

      That's a pretty common issue with the application of the colour enamel. In most cases it won't hold any premium. However, if it was really off, it could be valuable.
