Screw driven elevators take a ton of power. If you want to save energy get a traction unit with a counterweight. She also states there can be no shaft as you can enclose it with glass making a.... You guessed it shaft so that is nonsense. They actually do make elevators with safety sensors can operate out in the open.
This is not an Elevator btw. This is what is known as a VPL(vertical platform lift) and this specific model is not legal in many states in the USA. It is also a screw drive unit which is one of the slowest in the business, but does offer an additional safety of if the nut ever fails there is a backup nut to catch you. unfortunately they IF they are installed within code in the USA they cannot go higher than 168 inches which means if you have a 3 story house keep moving. Please stay knowledgeable about your local codes and requirements as I can say as an installer these are not allowed in my jurisdiction. The better version of this would be a PVE pneumatic elevator or a Savaria Vue lift which ARE elevators. Code for these 2 pieces of equipment are even 2 different books one being ASME 17.1 for a real elevator(not a VPL like in the video) and the other being 18.1 which is a lift for the handicapped. I am a tech who deals with the install of many of these in many high end homes and this is the mid range of elevation equipment, and most importantly NOT AN ELEVATOR.
Hey you sound like you know what you are talking about. Do they make fast elevators (or VPL or whatever)? Every home elevator I've been in is horribly slow, like they're made for 90 years olds. I want one in my man cave and I want it to be fast, like 2 seconds between floors. Do these exist?
More segments like this. I hope you can have a collaboration with Slater Young also!!! Julia’s interior design prowess and Slater’s engineering know-how will be interesting to see.
I'd really like one for my home although I'd really like an elevator finished in nice wood panels because I'd like mine in a shaft. And being glass seeing the inside of the shaft would be pretty unimpressive.
I am 63 years old , exercise daily , work 7 days per week , my job is physical and lots of walk , lifting and using equipment hardly ever gain weight , eat whatever I see it or like . I am building a 2 floor home , but thinking ahead , I will build a nice guest bedroom downstairs that could be used when I can not longer walk stairs , but I am not going to spend a fortune for an elevator .
l want an elevator that can take julia round the world.Already exist? ls that an aeroplane then? Ah,nevermind, same thing, one is just for the outdoors.😅Your hair is beautiful julia!! Sending you love and wishing you the very best in Life always.❤🙏
Homes don't really need elevators. Their, for me, are luxury item in a house. Even if you are billionaire, you still need to ask the question if you need it. However, it really depends on the home owner if she or he WANT it or not. For me personally, if I became a rich guy who wants his senior parents to live with him, I rather have their room be in the first floor(Master Bedroom 1 or a Junior Master Suite) rather than in the second floor. But that's just me. You do you if you feel the need for an elevator.
We have a law, basic law, we can't have lift or elevator if our house is not 5 level or above, So rich o billionaire need then specially if their houses are more than 5 level and a hectare wide, to move faster up and down
This lady is excellent.
Very well spoken.
Good information.
And she should be promoted as top salesperson.
@@SunSun-hk8eg She must be a relative.
The see-through glass wall panels, helps lessen (if not to eliminate) the claustrophobic, elevator riding experience.
Great info. Something for the editor to think about though. Switching perspective on her so quickly and so often is nauseating,
Agree, the part aroun 02:00 was a confusing editing choice
Horrible presentation skills
Annoying too
@@28-x2w55acxop Disagree. She is articulate and smooth.
Totally
This video is so clear I can see her thoughts. it's like 400k
Thank you!! This had everything I wanted to know except for the energy consumption/expenses. Trying to save up as a gift for my senior parents hehe
Glad it was helpful!

For it depends upon the need but not really a necessity. Best if you have an elderly.

Can you adjust the speed of these home elevators?
Kamusta yung noise level ng elevator? Distracting ba siya pag ginamit sa gabi. Looked at their site walang binanggit na measurement in dB

15 meter height because we have a law that the lowest house can put lift is at least 5 floor or level,
If not s special reason needed
Sana nagbigay na din ng price range. Anyway, nice content.
Start at 1.8M
@@allimaleada270with that price just go with Schneider elevator
@@elanonymous9714 sinagot ko lang naman, kasi may price naman sabi starting sa 1.8M so. Pataas pa,
Flatform?
I like the push buttons than the knob like my Lexus car. I hope water sprinkles are equipped with all the expensive houses, apartments and condos.
malapit na 1m a ng sub. ako nito 7k palang
I hope they have staircase/chair elevator
Cute talaga ni @juliarichards..😊
Ugh, please choose one camera! I got motion sickness.
magkano ba kasi yan mga yan ate
Edi naglalagay nga kayo ng elevator sa bahay? Reply.
So 90,000$?
How much to stall home elevator in the philippines
Right!
Over time the screw drive grooves will be worn out and the entire thing will have to be replaced.
you good
