    In the intro Alex was called the "smallest man" and he was like WTH?

    • @MrJdsenior
      @MrJdsenior 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I was hoping that was a shared joke or something. Not sure it came out as well in use as it did in the Ken's mind, but Alex' reaction WAS funny, as usual. Ken does a generally good job though, IMHO, and I suspect he was trying to keep it light and entertaining.
      I thought it was interesting how Shane rubbed his Cutek patch just before Ken mentioned it, like a conscious or subconscious "don't forget this".

    I'm trying to figure out one pocket. Can someone tell me why the 13 and 6 was spotted in the first rack? Is it just because there wasn't enough balls for a score of 8-7?

    • @JamesStreck0312
      @JamesStreck0312 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those balls were owed due to fouls - Alex fouled and didn't have any balls to spot at the time, so the first ball he made had to be spotted after his inning. Then Shane had to pay a ball because of his scratch.

  • @sidiscgolf8381
    @sidiscgolf8381 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So if your opponent makes a ball in your hole and scratches then two balls spot up? Am I picking up on that correctly?

    • @JamesStreck0312
      @JamesStreck0312 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The rule is if you make a ball and scratch, you spot the ball you made (in either your hole or your opponents hole) and you spot another one for the foul. It can be used as strategy sometimes to get out of trouble.

    Here we go again with the commentators rambling on about how their shot was better than the ones the players are shooting.

    I understand cost and possibly logistics but it would sure be helpful to have an overhead camera added. So many times both the announcers and myself are having a hard time seeing a shot clearly. I know, we'd bitch if our nuts were in a vice, right? Just sayin if it's possible, it would sure be a nice addition.
    One thing it allows you to do, if possible, is to get the program the snooker guys use to which accurately locates every ball on the table to give beautifully accurate 'down on the ball' virtual shots where you can REALLY see what's going on, pretty much as well as the player can. You can '3D' in from any angle along any shot line, a la google Earth, and give the actual views the player gets for critically spaced shot choices as well.
    Thanks very much for doing what you do, it is really fun and educational to be able to watch these matches, and I'm sure you've already thought of at least part of the above, just my 'helpful' two cents. I will try to find an example of the 'app' I'm talking about and give a link here or in another vid to a camera shot like that so you can see what I'm referring to JIC you haven't seen it. It is really the cat's pajamas, so to speak. Rock on, and thanks again! :-)
    PS Commentary is AWESOME, as is the format/design of this match. Your aspects of the show just get better and better. Jeremy's "Easy to go down, hard to come up" comment was a little nugget of gold.

      The International 9-Ball Open and the Derby City Classic have an overhead camera. The Make-It-Happen events don't have a ceiling high enough for an overhead camera.
