@@Viper-dz2kw it's subtle and maybe unintentional, and to be fair I should've said "swing influences" it has more sensibilities of big band and 50's rock 'n' roll swing (and more obviously, pop and rock from the second half of the 20th century) than from, say, thelonius monk but notice the chromatic melodies, vamps, bass riffs like, if you put "do it all the time" on swing 8ths, it could easily be a big band song so, that's where I hear the jazz/swing (also the word "razzmatazz" conjures memories of "razzle dazzle")

Just listened to the entire album at midnight today, I haven't had time earlier. It broke me, it really did. The mix of happy song and depression hits too hard. Like I'm less miserable than last year, but i'm still unhappy about things I can change. Like family, friends, school, the future and my character.

It took me ages to learn this song from Genius, but now that the band have confirmed the actual lyrics in this, I have to relearn some words which is gonna take a while lol
One of the best vocal hooks, absolutely keeps replaying in my head. In a good way, not an annoying ear worm. Really appreciate the skill and perfectionism these guys bring to their final product. I've been writing songs for a while, being mainly focused on vocals, and feel ashamed of my instrument backing. They make me want to do better.

One of the best vocal hooks, absolutely keeps replaying in my head. In a good way, not an annoying ear worm. Really appreciate the skill and perfectionism these guys bring to their final product. I've been writing songs for a while, being mainly focused on vocals, and feel ashamed of my instrument backing. They make me want to do better.
