Great video! I am glad to see young people outside in the yard or garden. I would definitely try to save the seeds from that huge cucumber. I would make relish from it as well. Happy gardening! ❤
I’ve been watching homesteading videos on utube for maybe 6 months now. The benefits of this lifestyle are many. I can’t believe after watching so many of them that this was the first time I actually noticed how everyone looks so healthy. Not like most Americans. 💪👍
We bought the biggest chipper we could afford/justify the expense for. There were dozens of smaller, used one weekend or season units offered on FB, but we needed something powerful enough to handle good sized branches for land clearing.
Hello from Australia - your honesty and talking from the heart was awesome. It was just what I needed to watch today - you came up as watch next after I watched another garden show. Im currently on the lounge with a bad back so im very glad I have all raised beds however Im very frustrated watching you tube and wanting to get out there and plant my seeds before tomorrows rain arrives. However another day will work out too. Happy Homesteading and im looking forward to watching my videos of your journey
Peel and cut the cucumbers up, put them in a blender with water and you have agua de pepino (cucumber "spa" water) & it's so yummy and hydrating! Also, make one of those viral cucumber salads. I personally love them with lemon salt and tajin but any fruit seasoning would do. You could also cut and freeze them up for a self care spa day or for a tangy smoothie, or make cucumber ice cubes and add them to your water once in a while. ps. anytime our family has fruit that is overripe and about to go bad, we just cut it up and add it to a blender with water and drink that with our meals instead of soda, tea, water. it usually last only a couple of days with a family of four plus occasional family guest. SOOO when in doubt, make a agua fresca out of it.
We have a Jensen wood chipper and it's fantastic! I would recommend not buying the smallest cheapest wood chipper...ask me how I know! We use the chips in the garden and in the chicken coop!
Thanks for the video. So real! You are giving your little one the best gift he could ever have! Off target question but what color is the green at the end of the video? It’s beautiful!
Hi i'm from Michigan a first time gardener i love it's so much fun . and your right much cheaper. i just scribed to your channel i really enjoyed watching. Can i ask what state your in?
I put cucumbers in my morning smoothies. I’ve puréed them and then frozen the puree in ice cube shapes. I’ve also just sliced and frozen and added the slices to my smoothie. It’s so refreshing.

Yeah we are in the same boat, want to find something we can afford but can also get the job done. Thanks for the feedback!

I think tzatziki sauce is made with cucumbers, isn't it? That is good on like gyros and other Greek food. It's so freaking good
We love tzatziki!

Thanks for watching and we are in Western Wisconsin so not too far!
Hugs from Poland ❤
Hugs from America 😊
Great video 😊 How many plants gave you 100 pounds of tomatoes? I am thinking about that for next year. Were they paste tomatoes?
Thanks! We had about 16 plants with a combination of Amish Paste, Roma, San Marzano, and some beefsteak!
@@CypressSparrowHomestead thanks 😊
Great video!, it will be better if there is no background music.
Thanks!
Hi
Hello!
Make relish
I think we will!
I put cucumbers in my morning smoothies. I’ve puréed them and then frozen the puree in ice cube shapes. I’ve also just sliced and frozen and added the slices to my smoothie. It’s so refreshing.
Thanks a great idea, going to have to try that!
