- Kakamega Forest is a tropical rainforest situated in the Kakamega, and near the border with Uganda. It is Kenya's only tropical rainforest and is said to be Kenya's last remnant of the ancient Guineo-Congolian rainforest that once spanned the continent while Isukuti dance is a traditional celebratory performance practised among the Isukha and Idakho communities of Western Kenya and takes the form of a fast-paced, energetic and passionate dance accompanied by drumming and singing. KVSO Kenya conserves the forest through engaging the communities living adjacent to and within the forest through different activities and outreach programmes while promoting their intangible cultural heritage that is the Isukuti dance.
