Hey everybody thanks for watching this video! This was by faaaaaaaar my most challenging video to produce yet. I had to drive 1500km in 2 days, had to take all necessary equipment with me (Desktop PC, monitor, keyboard, mouse, audio interface, stands, webcam, 2 iPads, 3 microphones, whiteboards and I'm certainly forgetting a lot more), didn't get much sleep... Let alone how much money I had to spend to make this a reality, which I'm too embarrassed to share... 😅🙈 I am proud of the final result though, so I do hope you guys will get a laugh out of this. Damn that is a huge distance! I'm guessing you drove to Germany from Portugal. Was wondering why you had the GL board behind you 11. I am a little confused why there was only 1 final question that only Tatoh could answer and with the help of Viper (i know he was the joker, but why couldn't Nili use him, any why didn't Nili get a similar question?). Also what was the building that Nili mentioned that got him 1 point? @15:00 Great stuff btw!
Oh no I do live in Germany! :) I was hoping no one would notice, but you guys are all too smart haha. So what happened, was that there was actually another question between the jingles question and the final one. TaToH got 2 points there and Nili none. Unfortunately one of the cameras decided to stop recording at some point before that question, and fortunately someone noticed it but only after the question was already finished. You can imagine how pissed I was about it... So the actual score before the final question was 4-3 for TaToH and that means that after TaToH got his question right, Nili wouldn't be able to catch up anymore! As for minute 15, Nili had the Caravensarai in mind!
I enjoyed your quizzes more and more, Nelson: they are fun, entertaining and challenging! Also, I'm liking your interviews with AoE people, I'm catching up with those. Keep up the good work man! :)
Can't believe they didn't get any of the civs' themes right, given that pros usually play a lot of tournaments and they get to hear the themes right before the game starts. I got all of them right xD. Always enjoy the episodes, thanks Masmorra.

Yeah, I don't know if you're familiar with Germany, but I live in Karlsruhe, so that's quite the drive until Berlin haha But seeing the positive reactions makes it all worthwhile! Glad you like it Crille! :)

I feel like im in a community college class as the end of the year before the test when the nice teacher is trying to get a room full of grown men to actually remember that they were paying attention for the last 9 months.
I want to suggest to use fewer or no e-sports-related questions. They're generally boring because the audience can't participate if they haven't watched the particular tournament you're talking about. And not even the pros themselves seem to remember them well. Otherwise really good content!

You could also do taunts, like "which numbers is "Wood please"?" Or the players could ask them to alternately answer questions like "Name a civ with paladins" until one player makes a mistake.
Wow its surprising how the pro players dont mostly recognize the civ themesong, as a new player myself who love the game music interpretation for each civ, I can answer all that questions easily.

@@donaldfarquar Well, he would have had 9 points if he hadn't gotten the partial points earlier, so it still would've gone to the tiebreaker, which he won. In the end it worked out. :)
I'm so surprised they struggled with the jingles. I had all of them correct! I suppose that's the difference between a pro player and an Age of Empires II fan. I know a lot of stupid little facts but I'll never get above 1.5k ELO 😂😂
Hey, I would love for some more explanation for some answers. For example the one about unique imperial buildings: Don't just say the civ but say the building, too. I had never heard of the Caravanserais before! Thank you for the nice content :)
Ohhh you know what, I only ever thought about giving the extra explanation when I felt like the players didn't know why a specific answer is right/wrong, it never even occurred to me that for the viewers that information could always be interesting! Yep will be doing that for every question from now on!

A couple of users have pointed this out already, I answered to one of them if you want to look up! Will need to be more careful with the wording in the future, but I'm fairly confident they understood the question exactly as I meant it! :)

Great video. In Corona times I used to host my pub quiz via Twitch. Had up to 40 teams participating. If you are ever interested to do one of your quizzes for a public audience let us have a chat about it. It worked surprisingly well eventhough cheating cannot really be stopped in such an online format. maybe with aoe and non aoe trivia
For the question 'Which civs can get more than max pop without conversions' I was wondering if Elite Kipchaks trained with the Cuman Mercenaries take 1 pop each; since they can otherwise be created for free for Cumans and their allies.
So I was waiting to hear from Azot-Spike to answer this. He said that if you're housed/poped you actually won't get the free Kipchaks, so they would not be an admissible answer. Great question though!

Awesome video! The jingle part was great, but I can't believe how few they got! Favourite for me is the Bohemians, their theme is amazing
Even on the pretty clear European and Indian civs they took some wild guesses xD
byzantines was easy for me, due to the Build order mod and that theme over and over again

In the Tree Cutting Question, isnt the Siege Onager missing? Or is that combined within the Onager Class?
It doesn't really matter in the context of that question since it would always be false: bombard cannons cannot cut trees! :)
