    You should definitely keep the retro Lego aesthetic. It works so well with the pirates theme!
    A white fortress and then a small town and harbour would look great together with this.

    As a fellow pirate ship enthusiast, here's a tip: the flags should be waving towards the front of the ship if it is sailing. The wind would be blowing in the direction the ship is moving, so the flags would be blown the other direction. VERY good looking rigging; it really brings the whole build together!

    The two flag on the top of the pirateship should be turn 180 degree because the wind comes from behind otherwise the ship can't move. Everything else is perfect!!

    • @NittanyNation22
      @NittanyNation22 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Is that true though? A ship can sail in winds coming at it from the front. Maybe they would need to be reconfigured? EDIT - you said flag but I read sail!

    • @mouseyender
      @mouseyender 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      But when the ship is moving the flags would flow behind because of the air the ship is moving through

    • @NittanyNation22
      @NittanyNation22 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@mouseyender Rewatching the video, I now don't think I understand what Tauverde is saying. Is that poster saying the top 2 are backwards?

    • @Mick0Mania
      @Mick0Mania 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      @@NittanyNation22 Since large sail ships use wind to propel them forward, the flags are also affected by the same wind, pointing them forward. It is much easier for the wind to move the flags forward, than to push an entire ship (using the sails), so the flags will almost always point forward. If the ship used a motor or something, then the flag would most likely point backwards (as the ship is being pushed "into" the wind, not "with" the wind). As sailboat modeling is a classic hobby, this has become common knowledge among the hobbyists.
      edit: If the ship was sailing towards the wind, the sails would be down. Otherwise the wind would start carrying the ship backwards.

    Finding innovative new ways to torture yourself with massive 1x1 builds as always!
    If you don't like the look of the palm bases you can "bury" them in the sand by a plate and then use angled plates to mostly cover them. Or I think a peg or Technic pin or something would fit in the center, which you could then attach more securely?

It'll add enough stability and 'sticking power' for most usecases while having a low enough melting point that you could use a hair dryer on the lowest setting to pull it up without any pieces around it getting damaged and without any residue being left.

    Wow congrats on having your build displayed like that! It is a cool new project and I can't wait for more!

    Your build was awesome as usual but I was amazed about that view and gondola! And of course, German engineering accounted for seats that could be removed to create more space!

    Love the island build, your techniques always blow me away! And If at all possible, I'd love to see either a minifigure or other reference to Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed 4!
