Nice to see a Japanese actor's angle to the experience of working in Hong Kong, with Bruce Lee at his prime.

Chikara Hashimoto's duel with Bruce Lee in that scene was my favorite!!! I really like his style of martial art, and "bad guy" character, and wish he had played more martial arts rolls in that movie genre or type and especially as a "bad" and "dangerous" character. So, I see that he did indeed act in Japanese movies so I must try to find some of them. His swordsmanship and karate style is extremely impressive and scary looking every bit as much as that "style" of Bruce Lee. :-)

Jackie Chan double the villain for the sequence when Bruce Lee kicks him as he flies mid-air falling to the ground. The side cart wheel that Bruce Lee does as he grabs a weapon that was hanging was done by his stunt double.

    Hello there!
Please correct me if I am wrong,
There is a difference in making Hong Kong movies and Japanese movies as Sensei has stated.
In Honk Kong movies, they tend to live in the present and rarely are things rehearsed.
It is real life and you can die if you do not have true martial arts skills.
Please understand transparency that people who are in Chinese Kung Fu/Wushu movies really get hurt. The actors are masters and the punches are real. There is Chinese medicine and some masters retire from the movie industries because they lost a battle. You need to know about gambling as well.
    ETN....

Very cool but i felt it was more comparing acting in japan vs china and the processes. Seems like he didnt have much interaction with Bruce. Chikara though seems very humble and respectable.

Wondering why they didn't just cast Yuasaki Kuarata to Olay the role of Suzuki instead of flying another Japanese actor from Japan.

A very delicate subtle insult, swipe ,and evasive insult and all of Lee"s ability, after all he was lead actor and we had to play along ???
Yeah ,I caught you ,and the remarks didn"t I???
    Questions like
    Was Lee fast,precise,accurate,etc etc etc,,
Was he flowing fluid, did he actually have to compensate for inferior physical specimens he worked with???
Those are the comments and memories sought for,,
Was he helpful to other actors in any way???

    • @3rd-Wave_Rebel
      @3rd-Wave_Rebel 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

He basically lied to the interviewer by refusing to admit his martial art skills were below Bruce Lee at the time that he had to play along because Lee was the leading actor in the movie.
