@fowler if there is one Gerber knife that could sway you back, it would be the Gerber strongarm, best knife in my extensive collection and very reasonably priced at around 80 euros. absolutely fantastic sheath design and beautifully ergonomic handle. only gripe is that it comes with a standard v-edge, which I sharpened to a Razer sharp scandi grind, and boy does it hold an edge despite only haveing 420 HC steel.
gawd dang! $180 for that little knife too that's crazy, anybody know any alternatives for a little knife like that and a hammock with tarp for reasonable prices?

I just realized that that neck knife you ware from Robert at Panacea, i have one too and i figured out the gnarled handle works so well at striking strike anywhere matches it’s incredible just an added bonus
As a soldier, attracted by the low price tag, (EUR30), I bought a Gerber multitool 10 years ago, it snapped in my hand after 2 weeks of usage when using the pliers to pull out a .50 cal round out of it's shell casing. The Bear Grylls promo is utter rubbish marketing on top of it. Now I'm using Leatherman, it's literally indestructible.
Still watching every episode. I admit, with my new found free tome all I have been doing is going back on the older episodes. Gives me hope and keeps my mind at peace. The more I watch u, the more inspired I feel to just live a life closer to god, to nature and to myself. Thank you. Sincerely.

Not sure the likely hood of you seeing this comment Zach, but have you ever tried Spyderco knives? In my opinion, hands down the best knives around. They have a GIGANTIC variety. Folding, fixed, throwing cooking etc. So so so sharp. Great video!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ from Rollinsford NH

Wow I hate Gerber let you down. I have the multi tool I've been using for years and Gerber folders I've been using for over 20 years. If you don't have a diamond stone you're not gonna put an edge on it. My Gerber Bush Blade with the saw tooth back I sharpen with a file and I've used it for over 15 years. Gerber has always been my go to on my solo canoe trips and hikes....but my stuff is rather old and could be better quality than the newer lines.....
Academy sells a inflatable kayak for $70 .. It's not bad .. It would be good for fishing if you go somewhere that you could use one .. Maybe it could help with your fishing
Hey Zack, this is going to sound pretty silly but where did you get your coffee pot. Paid good money for one on line. Turned out the 'glass' dome was actually plastic. Not very practical for a camp fire. I know it's not part of the gear you sell but if you can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Wildbill Vermont
Where as I don't comment on every video of your's , I do watch every video! You have some of the most easily understood ways for surviving in the bush. Not to mention the tidbits of humor added in makes it that much more enjoyable. I'm not commenting for greed or anything along that line. Good call on the Penn reel and Ugly Stick rod. I've never found a good telescoping rod, so I won't waste my money. The neck knife looks awesome.
