I don't know if it's been done before, but the implementation of the "analog horror" here is GENIUS. It makes perfect sense for the restaurant to keep surveillance tapes following the murders and all the other fucked up shit, no way the cameras are exclusively a live feed.
You don't know if it's been done before? 6 years ago the first FNAF Tapes series was released and they have since harbored MILLIONS of views. 3 Years after that another series entirely was released, all of them following the Anologue Horror style.

THIS this is what FNaF VHS horror should be. True to the original 3 games storytelling, implied horror. No gore and a lot of red herrings, not knowing of the Puppet or Freddy is going to pop out on the cams at any time. Well done.
Why Freddy is the scariest: • He is most active in the dark and is always in the dark, so it's hard to deduce where he is and see him on cameras • He emits "human" sounds that make the idea of dealing with supernatural forces even greater • He is the tallest of the group, standing maybe 2 meters tall •If the power goes out, it's over... you can't hide or protect yourself from him , just wait to die while he plays his disturbing jingle
It also has the single jumpscare that legit made me jump off my chair while any other just got me curse at the screen, or simply say "ok" then try again. If you're asking, was the one he comes from the right and shakes the fucking camera with black eyes. Till that point I've never imagined he will become active and getting him inside the office so early was shocking to me.

i honestly love him just staring into the camera to try and creep out whoever's watching, he seems just as aware as chica about him not really being a threat UNTIL he gets to the one operating the camera (the night guard) except unlike chica he doesn't screw around, he just keeps trying to intimidate the one watching through the camera until he gets his chance to kill them
chica looking back and forth at the camera is just so funny to me, it's like she's saying "oh yeah I'm rummaging through the pans what are you gonna do? Stop me?"
I love how Chica is trying to make pizza like “Look at me! I’m a big girl now!” even Foxy is acting a little goofy since that’s prolly what children would actually be like considering their “situation” it’s fun seeing them as not just endlessly vengeful but try to make due through their struggles. This was the scariest tape ive seen in a minute. It perfectly captures the feeling of the first game. Everytime it said motion detected i kept getting goosebumps being like "oh shit its gonna happen" this was amazing and horrifying, amazing job!
Another terrifying detail about Freddy is that he’s so competent and aware of the camera that he’s mastered the art of staying so incredibly still that the camera won’t detect his motion.

Honestly? This was the first vhs in a very long time that I just did not have ANY idea, what was going to happen. I literally could not tell, because the situation at hand was so outlandish and long-since-forgotten, and that all the events that would supposedly occur within it would happen OUTSIDE the main events of a night at freddy's. Outside the very premise of the sort of scenario that we naturally insert ourselves into. It was incredibly erie, as things seemingly just happened because they'd happen, naturally, and we get pulled into that state where each of the characters exist in their own little worlds and yet we get further entranced by that lull - rather than tension - till whatever does happen, is so jarring that we're left at odds. What even is happening? What's the story behind their behaviour? Is there a purpose to this, and why are these characters where they are (at the fnaf 1 location, at these times of night in that order, for what reason, ESPECIALLY THE PUPPET)? Doesn't matter though. The night guard has woken, just as startled as we are, and he's as good as gone, in case you were wondering. Our dearest animatronic duo, with their final parting gift on feed, have made that clear enough before hand.

It's oddly cute to see Foxy curious about other rooms as he was waddling back to stage and the little interaction between Foxy and Freddy where it was almost like Freddy was telling HIM not to go in there for whatever reason

Dude good job with this. You did a brilliant job with the animation and you also did an amazing job at showing this as the puppet acting through these animatronics. It’s impeccable how each and every creator has a unique and genuinely great spin on these VHS tapes and it makes me giddy to check out new ones that are recommended to me

Thus, she succeeded in 3/36 movement opportunities, allowing us to approximate her AI level at around 1-2, which would put this at Night 2. However, given that Freddy is active, we know that this must be at Night 3 or later. Despite this, given Chica's general lack of aggression, this is most likely Night 4, since Chica's AI level is actually lower on Night 4 compared to Night 3.
