Hi Kage i had a little over $200 from selling bone shards, eggs, milk and few other misc. items for 2 in game days. then i started selling bone arrows now i have almost $600 from B. arrows, eggs, milk, and small ration packs took about another 2 in game days
I have replayed this game several times using different strategies of game play. Building for sur-thrival, looting for sur-thrival, and mixing it up for sur-thrival. Other than generating clothing for warmth, this game can be played purely looting. I have processed fuel for vehicles, only to figure out that I never need to worry about fuel. I have fed my character just from looting and harvesting veggies, the only animals I had to kill were gators. That said, I am and have always been a firm believer in that everyone should play the game the way they want to.
I think a fun one time series if you ever wanted to challenge yourself would be a tech speed run. Rules are you can't build a permanent base or any unlocked tech until you get all the tech unlocked. Could also add in having to get all the trader tech, since you would be looting all the towns you could just sell every single thing you get except some food and med supplies and it should not take long to buy it all. You can divide the map up into sections, build a single foundation with a bed, chest and campfire in strategic spots, and just do that constant loot run you were talking about. Could build the basic forge and anvil since it isn't locked, and use it to make better weapons and the cart, so if you find Mike you can just put him in a cart. You could build a cart for each location and use it to run around grabbing all the loot. I'm considering doing this myself so I'm kinda thinking out loud, but it would definitely be a challenge for you too! Maybe let the loom be an exception just to make the bigger backpack, once you unlock half of the tech? Maybe? Anyway, thanks for sharing the fun!
Actually, this gives me a good idea for a 7DTD series. You start off with the truck and you can't build a permanent base anywhere so you have to travel around and survive by looting. You'd probably have to disable the 7 day horde and just increase the wandering horde amount and frequency so you're fighting a lot.
I've mentioned it before, but I always feel like it is more entertaining when someone is having a good time playing. It's fine to change things up and try new ways of doing things, and doing the exact same thing over and over gets tedious. I enjoy the mix-up of doing things as they come up in game, and I enjoy hearing your thought process of how you do and plan things out. You can't please everyone, there is always going to be the one person who says 'blah blah is so boring, do this blah blah instead'. Just have fun and make some progress and I'll enjoy it!
You should invest in armor if you don't want to use a shield. This will help you a lot. I only take 3 damage with my armor set instead of 10 from vambies. Just craft the Chest, Leg and feet armor, this will give you 30 armor, these are the most important pieces that you will wear all seasons. As for other slots, you should wear: Hat, Cooling shirt and Cargo pants for warm seasons. (34 armor total) Yellow hat, Winter Coat and Snow pants for Winter. (38 armor total) Also, the slots for shirts/jackets and pants don't lose durability.
Honestly, i just want a nice rack to put the batteries in. Something like the storage shelves where they just click in. Yeah i know you can stack them or place them on tables and use tables to make a pseudo battery rack but its just not the same thing lol. Would also like to see a "transfer" same type or store same type button so don't have to click all that iron across constantly.
Hey Kage, love the content. You probably already know this tip but just in case (and may help others) for when you're ready to go get the truck. Build the garage first, ride the atv out to the trucks location and fix it. Then ride the atv back and recall the truck from the garage. That way you dont have to run out there or leave the atv behind. Keep up the good work!!
I think it's better to chop and change what you do in the game to help keep things more interesting. Doing the same thing almost constantly tends to get a bit jaded after a while. Looting towns is fine, every now and then, with the incentive to get the tech you require. Something that's made a bit easier now that you can pick and choose which tech you want. That's off-set with the fact that a lot of what was once taken for granted as available by default, has to be found. Base building it also another fun part of the game. Assuming you've got enough resources, of course! Collecting and smelting ores into ingots is another aspect, as is the food side of things. So, there's plenty of different things to do in the game.
When you upgrade your backpack, does the food section stay the old size as before? Not made one before but from watching videos it seems like it stays the old size?
Sunkenland lol F key😭 i canged it to E and because of this game open and closing boxes holy moly the take all in sunkenland is a headache 😂😂. Kage will you play ASA when it comes out next month?
electric part gives 5.00, kevlar 4.60, gas can 3.00, large med kit 2.20, and wire 2.30 those are your 5 highest sellers
I love looting in survival games. I'm a hoarder. lol

Icarus uses ‘F’. Switching from Valheim to Icarus screws me up all the time. 1st world struggles 😅
Loot outside/around the houses! Watched you walk by so much stuff including multiple gas barrels.

The beauty of different play styles, I would not of thought to do this without reading it, sounds fun😊
I still have that same habit of always emptying look containers for future respawns (thanks 7 days)
u should made a shed next 2 the trader & put the mixers inside so it bu easier too sell them😊

I agree that the shield should be lowered a bit when up so you can see beyond the shield!
I believe F is Sunkenland lol. Also pretty sure trader prices are the same.
I sold my wire and Kevlar and made tons of money. The gas generator is a game changer!!
Watched all your play throughs of this game love it please don’t abandon this series

looks like a game worth trying :)
I don't enjoy watching loot after loot after loot videos anyway! The base building videos are my favorite!

I'm looking foward to the base defend! great videos by the way, I really enjoy them and listening to your thought process as well
Well having money is always fun, even in the apocalypse. :P
The advanced batteries takes 2x more resources but they each store 3500 ,so the trade off is well worth it ,check the builders menu
Brack the brown rocks in the desert biome to get shale
I prefer "C" for crouching but, all keys should be able to be rebound.
Sunkenland is the F button. Lol
lmao i cannot use the shield either to much hassel lol,
When you upgrade your backpack, does the food section stay the old size as before? Not made one before but from watching videos it seems like it stays the old size?
Food section does not change just the main inventory
@@maleficentia8390 thank you, least I know now 😁
U forget to show more around the house,to loot the trash
F is from Sunkenland. I switch between it and Fallout 76 and it messes with me terribly.
Sunkenland lol F key😭 i canged it to E and because of this game open and closing boxes holy moly the take all in sunkenland is a headache 😂😂. Kage will you play ASA when it comes out next month?
U see the new thinks, from the new update? 😊😊
Sunkenland = F haha
thats per one of each thats 17.50 for 1 of each
You don’t have “sit up in the chair situation” merchandise?
Good point, ill looko into that :D
I would 100% buy that as a mousepad.
sunkenland=F lol
The seasons in this game seem to go by ridiculously fast - how many in-game days do they last?
You can change them but default is pretty low although i dont remember the exact number.
You can change them to your liking. But dont forget i cut alot out when im grinding
If u look in game settings it starts at 60 minutes is one month. U can set to max 300 minutes for 1 month. Set the way u like to play.
@@Kage848 haha yeah i figured. I don't own the game so I'm playing vicariously through your vids XD
Have you ever watched ThatFoolishGrrl play? She's awesome at this game
At least get to a good many point say couple of hundred episodes in?
Early gang 🎉
Ya we like this more than you base building that shit is boring watching you make 5 solar panels 😮💨😭
Solar panels is not base building. Do you guys like watching me make foundations, walls, celings and design the base?
