What a stunning and incredible day! Amazing shots at high speed, condensation, vortex, flares…Everything in the same day, including the surprisingly F35! Thanks for sharing friend! Loved to watch it!
love watching the Hornets ( I am building one as we speak .) I always liked the intake treatment on the legacy Hornet , very neat . best place for an airshow is here !
U're "building one," 😳 lost my breath for a second, honestly. Like some sort of model. . I am to assume. Or, this is something I need to see, & somehow (awkwardly) make myself apart of.. 🙄 b/c that would be amazing. Life changing. Absolutely fantastic Elwyn ✈️🇨🇭 what a great show they have put on, you have captured it brilliantly 👌👏👏 spluff galore and great camera skills. Thank you for sharing 👍👌🇨🇭✈️ ATB Andy
Fluff and flares, that's the puppies privates of an airshow!!! Who were those nutters on the string?🤣🤣🤪 Nicely tracked as usual Elwyn, loving the stills👍👍👍👍
🥳🥳🥳That's the way to do it! And a shout out to your Lady (I assume and hope😊) for some stunning stills! I was hoping to see a few... And man! What a precious view it turned out to be! Great!
@@ElwynR aaww:/ But you did great despite that major handicap! And I hope you can have some more teamwork next time... With the fixed camera ;) cheers!
I admire your great compilation, which will draw many many people up there next year. But am happy having been up there, when it still was possible to drive to the end of the Axalp track at Chüemad 0500 a.m. at training days. To top your experience up there you might want to consider a climb up to Wildgärst next visit. The most incredible shot I ever saw from there was a F5 firing and the projectile was visible with the airstream it created.
@@ElwynR yes, it's inevitable obviously, that growing popularity creates restrictions. The last time I was up there in 2018 you had to be at the lake shuttle bus station at 0500 to get the busticket and first shuttle, were at 0600 at the skilift and at 0800 at the top for the sunrise😁
Elwyn, astonishing video, as usual. You have catch the essence of the show. Less than a week and I have already start the contdown for next year, may be for a 3 day pass. 🇨🇭🇮🇹
Thank you Soooo much for this awesome footage,!!! Reminds me of my dad when he was a major in the USAF. He flew F-105Thundercheifs or affectionately known as THE THUD!! HE WAS A RIVER RAT AND A WILD WEASEL. On training missions over Death Valley he flew at 550 things, I forgot what he called them, but they were 10ft off the deck!! Then in Vietnam they were really low again and he accidentally flew through someone's shed. He was shot down twice and brought in a cripple having the round 1/2 inch from going through the dashboard!! The 2nd time he and his backseater bailed out over enemy lines. They weren't going to rescue any more F-105s past enemy lines. But my dad's commander said He'll if we're not going in there!! First they had to find them. They landed on opposite sides of a valley. In elephant grass. Then my dad heard the enemy's way of flushing out pilots by barking like dogs. My dad was real good at keeping still. Then either A-7s or A-8s laid smoke cover. The head commander had his plane shot 27 times when he returned to base!! The green giants found both pilots. The backseat first then my dad. But before he made it into the chopper the Vietcong was upon my dad. They had to start flying with my dad hanging on for dear life passing over trees and such. They got to a safe area and pulled him up to safety!! He got caught in the fuselage and burned the right side of his face. Watching the jets and the capture of their cries and screams brings back very fond memories!!! God bless you and your wife for sharing your wonderful adventures!! 🙏🏻May He send His Angels to keep you safe on your journeys.

WOW!!! I still hope to visit there to do some photography. Is it me or has it gotten super crowded?! Or, is this a special event? Because the crowd is way bigger (maybe it always has been). And to see a Coca-cola setup, just made me sad. LOL Anyhoo, seeing your imagery helps deal with what I thought was just a few photographers up on a ridge taking pictures. Cheers!
@@ElwynR See, I didn't know that. The perception isn't clear when watching the videos. So, that's good to know. The only thing making it better would be having invited appearances year by year - always 2-3 other airforces doing 'exchange' practice 😉
