my 18m old strapping, extremely handsome male is the smartest, sweetest, loving, playful, energetic, clean, lap monster I’ve ever seen. “Velcro” absolutely! Loves his human fam. Great Guardian of home, car and family. Loves to meet people and any dog who thinks they can catch him.
Don’t kid yourself his high intelligence allows him to have some attitude too.
    Truly an amazing breed. ❤️

Me and my girlfriend had one 30 years ago. She was a fantastic friend (the dog and my girlfriend). At that time it wasn't allowed to get one in Germany without a hunting license. So she smuggled the dog from Hungary to Germany. They are the best dogs. And she got 15 years old. But a lot of physical training work.

Funny. He says in the video that he is a good guide dog. In Hungary, of course, it is a popular breed, but it is not used for this at all, because although it is smart, its personality is not suitable. Labradors are primarily used.

I've owned three of them. High energy dog...requires long walks. Feeding a Vizsla only hard dog food is IMO not a good idea. A Vizsla does not have an undercoat. The high fat in the dog food will produce fatty lumps on his skin after about 8 years. I always fed my Vizsla pasta noodles - loved them! Mix it with a little flavoring and some lunch meat/ hot dog. Table scraps also good for him. It's just not good to keep him on a straight dog food diet. The dog will occasionally throw up. Messy. When you see him heaving...just let him go. But try to get something under his mouth before it comes out. All three of mine did this.

It has only recently become popular outside of Hungary. But it is interesting that a Hungarian Vizsla named Matka works as a bomb detector in the Minnesota State Capitol.

It's strange to see an American bragging about a Hungarian breed of dog. Greetings from Hungary.those dancing people in the picture are not Hungarians, maybe they are more like Roma

@ already done. BTW I had my Weimaraners dew claws removed too. You want to know why? Well one of them was partially torn off during a hike and bleed profusely, so I had the other done as well. So there is a practical reason tails get docked because pups tend to whip those around in dense foliage, they bleed and potentially can get infected and kill the dog.

THIS is one of The LARGE breeds I DO NOT WANT to OWN at ALL!!! The “Short Haired” Vizsla is the one I HATE, because EVERY time I watch size comparison videos that have dogs in them, ALL of The OTHER TH-cam users that MADE them, ALWAYS have their minds FIXED on ADDING Short Haired Vizslas IN to them, & I DO NOT WANT THAT!!! I only like it when they add The “Wirehaired” Vizsla in to them, & THAT’S because The ONLY Vizsla I WANT to own, is The “Wirehaired” Vizsla!!! 😠😠 🥵🥵 😖😖 😡😡 🤬🤬 😤😤 😾😾 👿👿
