Brenda and Laura, please know that for every " obnoxious , mean girl" out there, there are hundreds of your followers that love and are continually inspired ( and enabled!) by your flosstubes and what your sharing. I'm guilty of not commenting or thanking you often enough, but you have made such a difference to me and my love of stitching. I'm a long time stitcher, but have few stitchers that live near me, so your flosstubes are a way to " stitch with friends". Many thanks and PLEASE don't stop!

Ditto As soon as you two post I can't hardly wait to watch your Floss Tube. If you two didn't show all the amazing patterns you do I would be board stiff. There isn't a stitching store within an 8 hour drive from me. There are times I go back and rewatch you all and Carol Saltbox stitcher to find a pattern you all show. I’ve taken to watching some of your earlier videos as well and one of the things that really struck me is what the two of you have ‘built’. When you started, many of the designers and linen dyers were just names - today they are friends with whom you have really strong relationships. Ladies, I want to thank you for your floss tubes. I stitched a couple of projects about 25 years ago and picked back up about 3 years ago after I retired having made as many quilts as my friend and family could stand! There are no LNS' near my home so I have heavily depended on TH-cam floss groups. I have learned so much about stitching, designers, floss, fabric, LNS' and retreats, spent so much money and have had so much fun! I am still scared of Samplers but I am working on that issue. Thank you so much for the information and entertainment you two share with all of us. And thanks for the educational information and the enabling. I love it all!
Dearest Brenda and Laura, I don't often comment or read all the comments but last video the one comment that seemed to start it all caught my eye. I was so angry and started to reply so many times. I'm glad I thought better of it because I wouldn't have been as mature about it as both of you. I just knew that those comments would hurt you and I'm so sorry it happened. And what did you do? You absorbed the hurt, came back to us (thank God) and responded just as we knew you would - with kindness and common sense. I am a monogamous sampler stitcher. I'm 72 y.o. and don't aquire too much stash anymore (still won't stitch what I have in my lifetime 😂). But oh my goodness I love seeing what others do, how they organize their rotations etc.. Fun!!! When I started back in the late 70's, mostly what was available was 14 count Aida and DMC. I am thrilled to have so many options nowadays. I want the shops and designers to thrive and make money. It's their JOBS and yay for them. We all benefit from that. Another point - Pam and Steph - you know the ones! - say collecting the stuff is part of the hobby. Right on! You two, along with a lot of my other favorite stitchers, helped get me through cancer, the deaths of a beloved sister and her husband (also beloved) within 2 months of each other, a bad back and all of life's "stuff". So thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing all the good stuff and the joy this wonderful hobby brings. You are loved and respected by so many -- Jan in Nebraska

Watched your video last night and had to think of how to let you both know how much I appreciate your videos. I watch several videos a week (I am retired!) and would like you to know that in my opinion you all are the most honest and helpful of all the ones that I watch. After not stitching for about 28 years I had a lot to learn about all the new fabrics and designers and you two have introduced me to so much that is happening in this wonderful hobby. Your streams make me smile. I marvel at all the WIPs and stash and haul. What folks should realize, is that people earn their own cash and have an exclusive right to spend that cash how they like. They also, as adults, get to spend their time as they like. Part of the hobby is amassing projects/haul/stash, another is to use or acquire more, to do the work on the projects. If someone gets exclusives, great - if someone gets special deals, wonderful. For those that are being bitter, tune them out. Misery loves company and they are a walking rain cloud on Life. Keep laughing and loving what you are doing and we will keep watching and laughing and loving along with you. Don't let bitter, nasty, JEALOUS remarks get you down. Let them rain on their own parade :)

Instead of judging and expressing their opinions, those people need to address them to the right person or place. If they don't like what you are presenting, they just need to look somewhere else. Our country is in a very negative place and I think people are frustrated. Negativity can be very contagious. But that doesn't mean that they should take it out on you. I have to thank the most wonderful pair of ladies Brenda and Laura, I have watched now for 3 years and have not commented but you were my first flosstube I watched and sparked that joy to pick up needle and thread again when I was a a low spot in life. You gals are the best! The Prairie Schooler Trees are so much fun to stitch. I made 2 of them this year and used tiny galvanized buckets as the stand and cut some branches for the tree trucks and created a little woodland scene beneath the tree! So much fun! After watching your video, I had to comment to thank you for the videos that you do. Through you I discovered the facebook group for Homespun Needlework. I ordered three of the kits presented this past year, finished Sophia Neal 1832 by While Iris Naps and started on Sarah Sanderson. I live in a rural area at least 50 miles from a store that sells floss and even further to find a needlework shop. I stitched years ago mostly on Aida as that was what was available. Coming back to cross stitch after so many years and seeing how many changes there have been is almost mind boggling. Brenda and Laura, you have been educators and enablers, and I am loving every minute. Once again, thank you, thank you for the time the two of you share with us.

Brenda and Laura, please know that for every " obnoxious , mean girl" out there, there are hundreds of your followers that love and are continually inspired ( and enabled!) by your flosstubes and what your sharing. If you two didn't show all the amazing patterns you do I would be board stiff. There isn't a stitching store within an 8 hour drive from me. There are times I go back and rewatch you all and Carol Saltbox stitcher to find a pattern you all show. I have learned about fabric dyers from you all.

When you started, many of the designers and linen dyers were just names - today they are friends with whom you have really strong relationships. Ladies, I want to thank you for your floss tubes. I stitched a couple of projects about 25 years ago and picked back up about 3 years ago after I retired having made as many quilts as my friend and family could stand! There are no LNS' near my home so I have heavily depended on TH-cam floss groups. I have learned so much about stitching, designers, floss, fabric, LNS' and retreats, spent so much money and have had so much fun! I am still scared of Samplers but I am working on that issue. Thank you so much for the information and entertainment you two share with all of us. And thanks for the educational information and the enabling. I love it all!
Dearest Brenda and Laura, I don't often comment or read all the comments but last video the one comment that seemed to start it all caught my eye. I was so angry and started to reply so many times. I'm glad I thought better of it because I wouldn't have been as mature about it as both of you. I just knew that those comments would hurt you and I'm so sorry it happened. And what did you do? You absorbed the hurt, came back to us (thank God) and responded just as we knew you would - with kindness and common sense. I am a monogamous sampler stitcher. I'm 72 y.o. and don't aquire too much stash anymore (still won't stitch what I have in my lifetime 😂). But oh my goodness I love seeing what others do, how they organize their rotations etc.. Fun!!! When I started back in the late 70's, mostly what was available was 14 count Aida and DMC. I am thrilled to have so many options nowadays. I want the shops and designers to thrive and make money. It's their JOBS and yay for them. We all benefit from that. Another point - Pam and Steph - you know the ones! - say collecting the stuff is part of the hobby. Right on!
You two, along with a lot of my other favorite stitchers, helped get me through cancer, the deaths of a beloved sister and her husband (also beloved) within 2 months of each other, a bad back and all of life's "stuff". Your streams make me smile. I marvel at all the WIPs and stash and haul. What folks should realize, is that people earn their own cash and have an exclusive right to spend that cash how they like. They also, as adults, get to spend their time as they like. Part of the hobby is amassing projects/haul/stash, another is to use or acquire more, to do the work on the projects.
If someone gets exclusives, great - if someone gets special deals, wonderful. For those that are being bitter, tune them out. Misery loves company and they are a walking rain cloud on Life. Instead of judging and expressing their opinions, those people need to address them to the right person or place. If they don't like what you are presenting, they just need to look somewhere else. Our country is in a very negative place and I think people are frustrated. Negativity can be very contagious. But that doesn't mean that they should take it out on you. You are doing a great job and I appreciate the fact that you take the time to entertain us and share your love of stitching with all of us. Brenda and Laura, I am absolutely shocked to the core that some extremely mean disgusting people have made you feel like that for all that time. You have many many people that love you and race to see your Flosstubes. My Daughter is one of the very first to watch you, she loves you anyway and has had some very kind, supportive messages from you. Seeing you is giving her the motivation and love of stitching that gets her through the difficult health period in her life. I could never ever thank you enough for the kindness, love and prayers you have sent to her from across the pond too. You are such lovely ladies who provide us with your wonderful channel.

Brenda & Laura you two have kept this Michigan 71 yr young going strong! This is the 3 rd year I’ve faithfully kept up with my Book Of Days. I record daily if xstitching or quilting. It’s the results at the end that tickle me…always more to do! Tks for what you bring to each episode! 🥰
I enjoy your program. I’m 77 and on fixed income. I know I can’t afford a lot of patterns and supplies but I LOVE watching you show yours. I would not see them. It makes me feel good that the projects you have make you so happy and you love them so much. K eep doing what you’re doing.

I just want to take this moment to thank both of you. I've returned to Xstitching after a 40 year hiatus. A lot happened in those years, including your wonderful videos. First, where I live, it's 2 hours to a needlework store, so I had to find a way to get "stuff". I don't comment often, because I watch from my TV, but I love you girls! I want a friend like y'all to stitch with. I love the patterns you show. Because I don't have a LNS, it gives me ideas of what I want to work on. I make a list while I'm watching and then when I'm ready to purchase something, I work from that list. Keep up the great work and enjoy your stitching and activities around it!
I have to thank the most wonderful pair of ladies Brenda and Laura, I have watched now for 3 years and have not commented but you were my first flosstube I watched and sparked that joy to pick up needle and thread again when I was a a low spot in life. It is my diversion from everyday concerns and am at peace when I stitch (except when the frog visits) and the highlight is when I get notification you’ve made a new flosstube episode. You gals are the best! The Prairie Schooler Trees are so much fun to stitch. I made 2 of them this year and used tiny galvanized buckets as the stand and cut some branches for the tree trucks and created a little woodland scene beneath the tree! So much fun! After watching your video, I had to comment to thank you for the videos that you do. Through you I discovered the facebook group for Homespun Needlework. I ordered three of the kits presented this past year, finished Sophia Neal 1832 by While Iris Naps and started on Sarah Sanderson. I live in a rural area at least 50 miles from a store that sells floss and even further to find a needlework shop. I stitched years ago mostly on Aida as that was what was available. Coming back to cross stitch after so many years and seeing how many changes there have been is almost mind boggling. Brenda and Laura, you have been educators and enablers, and I am loving every minute. Once again, thank you, thank you for the time the two of you share with us.
